INTRAMUROS BY NIGHT: A MOBILE HISTORY CLASS
Designed as a mobile history class, Intramuros by Night combines rigorous historical research and instruction with engaging storytelling. It does not just convey historical information; it teaches historical thinking skills. Participants do not simply visit historical and heritage spaces. They progressively build historical understanding as they move from one place to another, connecting sites and stories to a larger narrative of Philippine history and culture. This deeper historical understanding can foster heritage appreciation, love of country, and civic-mindedness. Campomanes uses public history as public pedagogy. This enriching experience offers a scholarly yet accessible way of understanding Manila and the Philippines.
