NBSC, LGU-Manolo Fortich, and AMN Bio Energy Corporation Forge Partnership to Support Student Scholars
MANOLO FORTICH, BUKIDNON - October 6, 2026 - Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich (LGU-MF), and AMN Bio Energy Corporation formalized a partnership today through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at the Mayor’s Office, strengthening their shared commitment to expanding access to higher education for deserving students.
Representing NBSC President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, EdD, CESE, during the signing was Mx. Franco Ceasar M. Agbalog, Head of the Student Accounts, Scholarship Aides, and Financial Assistance Office (SASAFAO). Also present during the signing was Mr. Earl John O. Luchin, Scholarship Coordinator, who supports the implementation and coordination of the College’s scholarship programs.
The agreement establishes a collaborative scholarship program that will provide financial assistance to 14 qualified NBSC students. AMN Bio Energy Corporation will provide each scholar with a ₱1,000 monthly stipend, to be released on a semestral basis in coordination with NBSC.
Under the partnership, NBSC will oversee the screening, evaluation, ranking, endorsement, and monitoring of scholarship applicants and beneficiaries. Priority will be given to students from low-income households and other disadvantaged sectors, including Indigenous Peoples, students from geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
The partnership also emphasizes academic excellence and accountability. Scholars are expected to maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 2.5 without any failing grade, comply with scholarship and institutional requirements, and uphold proper conduct and integrity. NBSC will likewise conduct regular monitoring and submit semestral reports on scholar performance and program implementation.
The agreement will remain in effect for four academic years beginning Academic Year 2026–2027, providing sustained support to qualified students throughout the partnership.
The MOA signing marks another step in strengthening collaboration among the academe, local government, and private sector to create meaningful educational opportunities for students. Through this partnership, NBSC, LGU-Manolo Fortich, and AMN Bio Energy Corporation reaffirm their shared commitment to helping deserving students overcome financial barriers and pursue their educational aspirations.
