𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 "𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳" 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿?

Philosophy is more than just memorizing the names of dead philosophers or asking questions that seem to have no answers. It is the study of the most fundamental questions about life, knowledge, truth, morality, and reality, and, more importantly, learning how to think about them. Philosophy teaches us to 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮, 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮, 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛𝙨, and understand the world beyond what is immediately obvious.

On July 27, 2026, the Department of Philosophy gathered not just to celebrate our graduating philosophy majors, but to honor the conversations, friendships, questions, and quiet moments that shaped their journey. As one chapter closes, may the pursuit of wisdom continue beyond the classroom.

The tribute has ended. The quest for wisdom has not.

In the wake of the recent earthquake that affected Sarangani Province, General Santos City, and nearby communities, countless families and Indigenous communities are facing uncertainty, displacement, and the loss of essential resources.

In response to this urgent situation, the CSSH Student Council, in partnership with the Human Rights Youth Action Network (HRYAN) and other fellow student and youth organizations, is launching a Donation Drive to provide immediate assistance and relief to affected individuals and families.

The Society of Philosophy Advocates would like to express an appreciation to 𝙼𝚛. 𝙰𝚕-𝚂𝚞𝚕𝚔𝚛𝚢 𝙼. 𝙰𝚋𝚍𝚞𝚕𝚕𝚝𝚒𝚏, an incoming 3rd-Year of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, as the Newly Elected 𝕮𝖍𝖎𝖊𝖋 𝕵𝖚𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖊 of Mindanao State University - Main Campus, Supreme Student Government.

Taken from his words, where he carries a vision rooted in genuine compassion, courageous leadership, and an unwavering love for every student of Pamantasang Mindanao.
