Our coaching seminar featured five distinguished speakers, each sharing valuable insights on athletic preparation, performance, and the mindset of champions.๐
โจ๐ The first speaker ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ, Captain of the MSU Track and Field Team, presented โ๐๐ฆ๐บ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ: ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด๐ฆ๐ต ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅ๐ด ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ดโ. He highlighted the importance of discipline, consistency, smart training, recovery, and time management, as well as the power of SMART goals, transforming dreams into reality, and competing for self-growth rather than approval. He also reminded us to reframe fear and failure, emphasizing that while you may be running the race, but you are never running alone. โจ๐
โจ๐ The second speaker ๐๐จ๐๐๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ก ๐๐ข๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐จ, Head Coach, MSU SULTANS, presented โ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฅ: ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฏ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆโ. He shared that every champion begins with potential, but only a few are willing to turn that potential into real performance. Sir Layao emphasized the crucial role of confidence, explaining that believing in oneself leads to better focus and stronger performance, while self-doubt and negative thoughts can hinder progress. โจ๐

He emphasized that dance is not only about teaching movements, but about passion, precision, and growth. Sir Andie highlighted how consistent training and rehearsal, attention to detail, and genuine love for the craft shape disciplined performers, proving that excellence in dance just like in sports is built through dedication, continuous learning, and purposeful training. โจ๐
โจ๐ฅ The fourth speaker ๐๐จ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข, KPSFI Regional Director (BARMM), presented โThe Art and Heart of Coaching Excellence.โ He emphasized that effective coaching goes beyond technical skills it requires being open as a coach, fostering trust, and maintaining clear and honest communication with his/her athletes. He highlighted that when athletes clearly understand expectations and feel heard, they become more confident, disciplined, and motivated to perform at their best. โจ๐ฅ
โจ๐ธ The fifth and final speaker ๐๐จ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ, former Dean of the College of SPEAR, presented โ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ด๐ด๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ด ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด: ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐บ๐จ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ช๐ถ๐ฎโ. He discussed the pathway to sports development and excellence, emphasizing the G.O.A.L (Go Out And Learn). Coach Daut compared grassroots sports development to farming, identifying the right environment, selecting quality seeds, preparing the land, and nurturing growth through consistent care and guidance to produce abundant harvest. He reminded us that as coaches, we reap what we sow, coaching not only to develop athletic skills and champions in sport, but more importantly, to shape successful individuals in life. โจ๐ธ
