Science Day 2026

Last April 22, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics came alive as we celebrated Science Week 2026: Celebrating Excellence, Resilience, and Collaborative Innovation ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ”ฌ

From vibrant displays to inspiring moments of unity, the day highlighted not just scientific brilliance, but the passion and dedication of every student, faculty, and staff.

The Physics Department proudly stood out in shades of pink, embodying the sweet and powerful spirit of the Candy Kingdom from this yearโ€™s Adventure Time-inspired theme ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿ’–proving that science can be both fun and impactful.

Together, we celebrated breakthroughs, strengthened collaboration, and showcased the resilience that drives innovation forward. Hereโ€™s to pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and continuing the journey of discovery! ๐Ÿš€

Like the Candy Kingdom, it looks delightful and simple at first glance, but beneath its charm lies a universe of laws that govern everything from the tiniest particle to the vast motion of the cosmos.

In Physics, every problem is a puzzle of the universeโ€”waiting to be understood, one sweet discovery at a time.

Hola, adventurers! Before we continue conquering equations, reactions, forces, and discoveries, we pause our quests for a well-earned feast.

Tomorrow, starting at 11:00 AM onwards, weโ€™ll be having our grand lunch out at the Golf Course.

Donโ€™t forget to bring your own:

Empowering the next generation of scientists.
This tutorial series is thoughtfully designed to uplift and support our BS Physics students as they navigate the challenges of core Mathematics and Physics subjects. From Pre-Calculus to University Physics, these sessions aim to strengthen foundational knowledge, build confidence, and deepen conceptual understanding essential for every aspiring physicist.

What makes this initiative even more meaningful is the guidance of dedicated graduate studies students from the Physics Department, who step forward not only as lecturers but as mentors. Their experience, insights, and passion for the field create a collaborative learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow academically.

This is more than just a tutorial session, it is a space where learning becomes a shared journey, where future physicists are shaped, and where the spirit of the physics community thrives. Together, we continue to inspire curiosity, pursue excellence, and push the boundaries of what we can understand about the universe.

Assalamualaikum. Alhamdulillah. ๐Ÿค

In the true essence of Ramadan 2026โ€”a time of compassion, generosity, and unityโ€”the Society of Physics Students, in collaboration with Liknayan Graduate Studies, successfully conducted the 2nd Physics Iftar Drive. This initiative was made possible through the collective support of donors, faculty members, students, and volunteers who shared the same goal of ุฎุฏู…ุช (service) and community care.

With a total sadaqah of โ‚ฑ6,381.42, we were able to carry out two meaningful waves of outreach, extending warmth and nourishment to different beneficiaries.

๐Ÿ“ First Wave โ€“ March 14, 2026
The first distribution reached the APMC OB and Pediatric wards, including patients and dedicated hospital staff. A total of 132 iftar packs were prepared and distributed, bringing comfort and a sense of solidarity to those spending Ramadan in the hospital.

๐Ÿ“ Second Wave โ€“ March 17, 2026
The second phase extended our efforts to the broader community in Marawi, including masjids and passersby along the road. A total of 100 iftar packs were distributed, ensuring that more individuals were able to break their fast with a proper meal.

๐Ÿ“Œ Overall Impact
Across both dates (March 14 & 17, 2026), we distributed a total of 232 iftar packs, reflecting the strength of unity and generosity within our community.

๐Ÿ“จ Total Donations Received: โ‚ฑ6,381.42
๐Ÿงพ Total Expenses: โ‚ฑ7,560

For full transparency, the detailed breakdown of expenses and distributions is provided above.

This initiative is a testament that even small acts, when done collectively, can create a meaningful and lasting impact. Every meal prepared and shared carried not only nourishment but also hope, compassion, and care.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to:
โœจ All donors and sponsors for your generosity and trust
โœจ Our faculty members for their guidance and unwavering support
โœจ All student volunteers who dedicated their time and effort
โœจ Everyone involved in the preparation, packing, and distribution of meals

Your kindness made this initiative possible and meaningful.

May this blessed month of Ramadan continue to inspire us to give selflessly, strengthen our unity, and uplift one another. ๐ŸŒ™โœจ
