๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ผ, ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ โ The Department of Home Economics of the College of Education, Mindanao State University Main Campus, successfully conducted Session 2 on Hydroponic Gardening under its flagship extension project, โ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐๐๐ค๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ 3.0: ๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐ข๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐๐๐ง๐ค๐ช๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐๐ฃ๐, ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ,โ at Barangay Palao, Marantao, Lanao del Sur, last May 22, 2026.
The extension initiative, spearheaded by ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ฅ. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป, ๐๐ฃ๐ง together with the faculty members who are present, ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ ๐. ๐ง๐ฒ๐ท๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ, ๐๐ฃ๐ง, ๐ ๐๐๐ and ๐ ๐. ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ-๐๐ฎ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป ๐ . ๐๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ต๐ถ๐บ, ๐๐ฃ๐ง, and students of the Department of Home Economics, aimed to equip community members with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in ๐๐ฎ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฅ๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐โan innovative and sustainable farming method that supports food security, environmental sustainability, and household self-sufficiency.
The training featured ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ ๐. ๐ง๐ฒ๐ท๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ, ๐๐ฃ๐ง, ๐ ๐๐๐, Chairperson of the Department of Home Economics, as the resource speaker. She shared valuable insights on the fundamentals, advantages, and practical applications of hydroponic gardening, emphasizing its role in promoting sustainable food production and empowering communities to adopt modern agricultural practices even in limited spaces.
Prior to the workshop proper, ๐ ๐. ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ-๐๐ฎ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป ๐ . ๐๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ต๐ถ๐บ, ๐๐ฃ๐ง facilitated a comprehensive recap of Session 1, reinforcing key concepts and reflecting on the positive outcomes and community engagement achieved during the previous training activity.
The success of the program was made possible through the collaborative efforts and unwavering support of the Barangay Officials of Palao and the dedicated RASFI Volunteers, whose active participation and assistance ensured the smooth conduct of the workshop. Likewise, ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ง๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ-๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ and ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ (๐๐๐) served as facilitators, guiding participants throughout the hands-on activities and exemplifying the universityโs commitment to meaningful community extension and service-learning.
