The Gainer Scholarship is an academic meritโbased scholarship granted by Mindanao State University (MSU) to students who have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance. It recognizes students who achieved among the highest Grade Point Averages (GPAs) for three (3) consecutive semesters. The scholarship is awarded to the Top 200 students who garnered the highest GPAs across the prescribed evaluation period.
The official list of qualified Gainer Scholars is generated by the Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC) and is administered by the Office of Admissions, upon certification that the GRANTEE has fully satisfied the conditions requisite enshrined under BOR Resolution No. 144, S 2024.

To qualify for the Gainer Scholarship, a student must meet all of the following requirements: (BOR Resolution No. 44, S. 2023)
1. Must be included in the duly generated Top 200 list.
2. Must be officially enrolled in the current semester.
3. Must have obtained a GPA of 1.50 or better for the past three (3) consecutive semesters.
4. Must have carried an academic load of at least eighteen (18) units per semester.
5. Must not be currently availing of any other scholarship.

Every semester, official announcements regarding the Gainer Scholarship are posted on the official page and sent through email notifications to students who are included in the generated list of qualified scholars.

Students who are included in the Gainer Scholarship list are required to submit the following documents: (BOR Resolution No. 200, S. 2024)
1. Certificate of Registration (COR) for the current semester;
2. Grade Cards for the past three (3) consecutive semesters;
3. Valid MSU Student ID;
4. Valid LandBank Savings
