On his inspirational message during the Unity Night of the Academic Summit, MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, reflected on two days of meaningful dialogue surrounding the university's academic direction, emphasizing that all discussions ultimately serve one fundamental purpose: making the MSU System work better for the people it serves. He highlighted that the true essence of "OneMSU" lies in unifying the distinct strengths, resources, and histories of every campus into a collective force, proving that excellence cannot rely on isolated achievements but must be sustained system-wide.

President Tago underscored that genuine unity requires deliberate effort, open-mindedness, and a willingness to prioritize the shared interest of the entire university over individual office or campus boundaries. He urged delegates to look beyond formal agreements and recommendations, calling on the community to turn summit discussions into actionable policies and practices that foster seamless collaboration across institutional borders.

Concluding his message, President Tago reminded attendees that building a unified system is deeply rooted in nurturing personal relationships, strengthening trust, and celebrating the dedicated individuals who drive the institution forward. He invited everyone to set aside deadlines to enjoy each other's company, celebrate local talents, and forge lasting connections that extend far beyond formal meetings and administrative boundaries.

“We confirm that one mission is not only a slogan. It is a practical means by which we uplift one another, and by which the whole system is lifted to greater heights.” — Atty. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, LLM, LLD, Chancellor, MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology

Beyond formal discussions, policy frameworks, and strategic deliberations, Chancellor Ditucalan emphasized that the true heart of the Academic Summit lay in the shared dedication and camaraderie binding the MSU community together. He highlighted that collective progress stemmed from mutual support, strong relationships, and a unified vision for institutional excellence.

Chancellor Ditucalan invited colleagues, friends, and family across the system to temporarily set aside the formal agenda—to share campus stories, celebrate the quiet victories of the year, renew old friendships, and build new connections. He noted that while the summit's work would continue, the relationships and sense of unity forged during the gathering would sustain everyone long after returning to their constituent campuses.

His message served as a powerful reminder that as one MSU System, the entire community moves forward with shared purpose, passion, and vision.
