𝗔𝗠𝗞𝗮 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲!

We are congratulating 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗵𝗶𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮, who completed his 180-hour internship at the 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗦𝗜𝗥𝗖), 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶, on August 16, 2026, for HST198 under Prof. Jihan Bacug.

The Mamitua Saber Institute of Research and Creation (MSIRC) is the campus's research institute and one of the leading repositories of Mindanao's socio-cultural heritage.

Mr. Sansarona worked hands-on with rare manuscripts, historical records, and archival materials that are particular to the foundation of Mranaw historical and cultural scholarship and heritage conservation.

𝗔𝗹𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸! Way to go! 👏

Our Program's EU and Peacebuilding class will host Prof. Almahdi Alonto from the postgraduate peacebuilding degree program of Mindanao State University. It will be an opportunity to discuss contemporary developments in the peace process, including the upcoming parliamentary elections next week, from a local and Maranao perspective.

𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚.

Before he became one of the pillars of our History Department, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 "𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴" 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶's journey to MSU began not at the gates but along a muddy, uphill road, which he walked for nearly a kilometer just to reach the campus. No shortcuts, no shoes spared—just quiet as he carried his family's hopes and values.

That same perseverance followed him into his years of service. As a history professor, he became one of the trusted mentors who held the pen with integrity in writing early scholarship on Maranao history at MSU. Maa Shaa Allah and Alhamdulillah, sir!

To us, the History Department, he was never just a colleague. He is a foundation, a mentor, and living proof that where you come from does not determine where you can go.

Maraming salamat, Sir Manong, again and again, for making history on paper, in the classroom, and in every step it took to get there. 🙏📖

Kaisa ang Department of History MSU-Marawi sa pagdiriwang na ito, bilang tagapangalaga ng istorya sa pagkakakilanlan ng MSU at ng Mindanao. Saksi ang kasaysayan sa tuluy-tuloy na pagsisikap ng pamantasan na maging tahanan ng pagkakaisa sa gitna ng pagkakaiba-iba ng kultura, relihiyon, at pinagmulan.

65 na taon ang nakalipas, buhay pa rin ang misyong iyon.

The admission period for the Bachelor of Arts in History, major in the Phil-Asian History Track, has been extended and is now open until 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.
