Held on September 23, 2026, and organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Lanao del Sur, the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz gave our students an opportunity to challenge themselves, showcase their knowledge, and gain valuable experience.

📰 CLARIFICATION AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE RECENT FIRE INCIDENT AT LAKE LANAO COLLEGE INC.

The Junior Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (JPICE) Officers and the Civil Engineering Department would like to provide clarification regarding the recent fire incident at Lake Lanao College Inc.

The cause of the fire has not yet been officially identified or confirmed. However, some reports have suggested that it may have been related to an electrical problem. Further assessment and investigation are needed to determine the actual cause of the incident.

We would also like to clarify that not all buildings of Lake Lanao College Inc. were affected. The fire was limited to the Education Department and some rooms of the Criminology Department on the affected floor. Other buildings and areas of the institution were not affected by the incident.

Fortunately, no students, faculty members, or staff were injured or harmed during the incident. Alhamdulillah, everyone is safe.

Although some rooms and facilities on the affected floor sustained damage, the Lake Lanao College community remains strong, united, and resilient. The incident may have caused physical damage to some areas, but it will not diminish the courage, determination, and spirit of the LLCI community.

The JPICE Officers and the Civil Engineering Department stand in solidarity with the affected departments and extend our support and prayers to the entire Lake Lanao College community as we move forward together.

The damage may be visible, but so is our strength. Together, we will rise, rebuild, and move forward.
