The 14th Al-Khwarizmi Cup of Al-Khwarizmi International College Foundation, Inc. - Main (AKICFI-Main) officially opened on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the SLS Gymnasium, marking the beginning of a celebration grounded in unity, discipline, and competitive excellence. Guided by the theme: โ๐๐ง๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐: ๐๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง,โ the opening program set the tone for a meaningful and spirited week of competitions.
Following the successful early-morning motorcade parade, the Opening Program formally commenced around 9:00 a.m. with a solemn invocation led by Sir ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฆ ๐. ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฌ, creating a reflective atmosphere for the gathering. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the BARMM Hymn, led by ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ข๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ , as students, faculty members, and guests stood united in pride and respect. The opening remarks were delivered by Ms. ๐๐จ๐ซ-๐๐ข๐ง ๐. ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข, ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ง, who warmly welcomed the guests, athletes, faculty members, and students. In her message, she emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, and resilience as the foundation of true excellence.
The highlight of the morning program was the inspirational message delivered by the Guest Speaker, ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐ข๐๐ฆ๐จ๐๐๐ง, ๐๐ก.๐., ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐จ ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฐ๐ข ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. Before his address, Ms. ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ก-๐๐๐ค๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ก ๐. ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐, ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, formally introduced the resource speaker by presenting his educational background, professional achievements, and significant contributions to academic, sports development and youth leadership.
In his inspiring message, Hon. Diamoden encouraged the athletes to go beyond their limits, uphold sportsmanship, and embrace discipline, perseverance, and excellence both on and off the field.
The ceremonial torch lighting, raising of house banners, Athleteโs Oath, and flag-raising ceremony, led by Mr. ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง, ๐๐๐, officially signaled the opening of the 14th Al-Khwarizmi Cup. These symbolic moments marked the formal start of the competitions and ignited the competitive spirit among the four Houses.
The program continued with the presentation of promotional videos from each house, followed by cheers and yells competition from each house that energized the gymnasium and showcased house pride. A simultaneous photography contest was also conducted, capturing powerful and memorable moments from the opening celebration.
