𝐆𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

Earlier today, the MSU-CSSH Graduate Students Council (GSSC) successfully conducted the Department General Orientation and Induction of Officers at the MSU Science Lecture Hall for this academic year.

The program officially opened with welcoming remarks from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗚. 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗼, Chairperson of Graduate Studies, followed by an inspiring message from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗵 𝗚. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴, Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Key academic guidelines were thoroughly presented by department coordinators and faculty, including 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗩. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮 (Program Coordinator, PhD Language Studies) on enrolment and retention policies, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘇𝘆 𝗘. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 (Program Coordinator, PhD Philippine Studies) on comprehensive exam requirements, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗗. 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗰𝗮-𝗔𝘇𝗶𝘀 (Program Coordinator, MA Language Studies) on thesis defense regulations, and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗙. 𝗗𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗻 (Faculty, Sociology Department) on university ethics and research standards. The session concluded with remarks from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗺 𝗕. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻, Assistant Dean of CSSH, with 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗵 𝗗. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗰𝗼𝗽 serving as the program host.

The event reached its highlight with the 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, establishing a clear, student-centered roadmap for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Thank you to all our administrators, resource speakers, newly inducted officers, and attendees who made this event a resounding success! We wish all our graduate students a fruitful and successful academic year ahead.

During the Comprehensive Examination conducted last week by the CSSH Graduate Studies Department, the Graduate Studies Student Council (GSSC) held a "ComPre Exam Operation" where the council provided snacks for the examinees.

The event was successfully led by GSSC President Al-yassein C. Abdulkarim. Ms. Sheryn T. Abdullah, as Chairperson for the operation, handled all preparations, with support from Sir Arsad Radiamoda.

Dr. Alyana G. Pantao, Chairperson of the Graduate Studies Department, was present during the examination. The activity was administered and proctored by GSSC Adviser, Dr. Abubacar Ali.

We are humbled and grateful to have successfully held our Iftar Drive on March 13, 2026 in Brgy. Punud Proper, Marantao, Lanao Del Sur!

In the spirit of Ramadhān and as we now welcome the joyous occasion of Eid, our council came together to share warm meals, blessings, and companionship with the wonderful community of Brgy. Punud Proper. It was a beautiful reminder that the true essence of this sacred season lies in caring for one another, bridging hearts, and spreading light to those around us.

We extend our deepest thanks to all our volunteers and donors who made this initiative possible. Your support helped bring smiles to many faces and nourish both body and soul during the holy month.
