𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲—𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.

In a world where filters can hide reality and appearances can be manufactured, Allah calls us to something far greater:

"𝑂 𝑏𝘦𝑙𝘪𝑒𝘷𝑒𝘳𝑠! 𝘉𝑒 𝑚𝘪𝑛𝘥𝑓𝘶𝑙 𝑜𝘧 𝘈𝑙𝘭𝑎𝘩 𝘢𝑛𝘥 𝘣𝑒 𝑤𝘪𝑡𝘩 𝘵ℎ𝘦 𝘵𝑟𝘶𝑡𝘩𝑓𝘶𝑙." Surah At-Taubah: 119

Being truthful is more than avoiding lies. It means being honest in our words, sincere in our intentions, authentic in our identity, and trustworthy in our dealings, both online and offline.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"𝘛𝑟𝘶𝑡𝘩𝑓𝘶𝑙𝘯𝑒𝘴𝑠 𝑙𝘦𝑎𝘥𝑠 𝑡𝘰 𝘳𝑖𝘨ℎ𝘵𝑒𝘰𝑢𝘴𝑛𝘦𝑠𝘴, 𝑎𝘯𝑑 𝑟𝘪𝑔𝘩𝑡𝘦𝑜𝘶𝑠𝘯𝑒𝘴𝑠 𝑙𝘦𝑎𝘥𝑠 𝑡𝘰 𝘗𝑎𝘳𝑎𝘥𝑖𝘴𝑒..." (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

What if no one ever knew about your good deed… would you still do it?

In a world where everything is posted, liked, and shared, 𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐥𝐚̄𝐬̣ (𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲) is becoming one of the rarest treasures.

Sometimes the greatest acts of worship are the ones that 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡.

Allah says:

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ ٥

Don't let this blessed Friday pass without reciting Sūrah Al-Kahf.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Whoever recites Sūrah Al-Kahf on Friday will have a light that will shine for him from one Friday to the next."

Virtues of Sūrah Al-Kahf:

• Protection from the trials of the Dajjāl.

Time is one of Allah's greatest blessings, yet it is also one of the easiest to waste. Every hour we spend scrolling, delaying, or chasing temporary distractions is an hour we can never reclaim. Allah reminds us in Surah Al-'Asr that mankind is in loss except those who believe, do righteous deeds, encourage one another to the truth, and remain steadfast.

The Prophet ﷺ also warned that many people fail to appreciate two priceless blessings: good health and free time.

So before today ends, ask yourself: Did my time bring me closer to Allah or farther from Him? Fill your moments with worship, beneficial knowledge, kindness, and purposeful action. Remember, the life you dream of, and the Hereafter you hope for, is built one faithful moment at a time.

Have you ever found yourself questioning why something happened?
Why did this door close? Why did this hardship come at this moment? Why did something you hoped for not become a reality?

As human beings, we naturally want 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬. We want to understand the reasons behind every event and see the wisdom behind every decision. But sometimes, Allah’s (s.w.t.) wisdom exists 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 what we are able to see.

We only see a small piece of the story.

Like a traveller looking at a single page of a book and wondering how the story will end, we often judge our circumstances based only on what is in front of us.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 (𝐬.𝐰.𝐭.) 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

He sees what happened before. He sees what is happening now. And He sees what is yet to come. This is where our trust in Allah (s.w.t.) is tested.

Because believing in Allah’s (s.w.t.) wisdom does not mean we will always understand His plans. Rather, it means we trust that His plans are always better than our own.

The story of Prophet Musa (a.s.) and al-Khidr reminds us of this beautiful lesson. There were moments when Prophet Musa (a.s.) questioned what he witnessed because he could not see the wisdom behind it. But eventually, what seemed confusing revealed a 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 from Allah (s.w.t.).

Perhaps some of the things we are struggling with today are also carrying 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 we have yet to discover.

𝐀 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
𝐀 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.
𝐀 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 (𝐬.𝐰.𝐭.).

And sometimes, the greatest reminder we need is that this world does not operate by itself. The blessings we enjoy, the systems we rely on, and the life we live are all under Allah’s (s.w.t.) complete control. 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 happens outside His knowledge. 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 escapes His command.

When we truly understand this, our hearts begin to find 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞. Not because life becomes free from difficulties, but because we know Who is in control.

May Allah (s.w.t.) teach us to trust Him even when we do not understand and give us hearts that recognise His wisdom, appreciate His blessings, and remain patient through every test.
