We are happy to announce that the Society of Agricultural Educators and Extensionists (SAGEDEX) is now officially registered with the National Youth Commission (NYC) YORP Panel Web System! 🫡🩵

This achievement marks another step forward in strengthening our organization, expanding our youth network, and creating more opportunities for our members to engage in meaningful programs and initiatives.

SAGEDEX is now advancing to take at the national stage and very committed for future collaborations, leadership-oriented activities and significant engagements!

​Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026, work and classes at Mindanao State University will observe a half-day suspension starting at 1:00 in the afternoon tomorrow, September 28, 2026.

​This schedule is declared in observance of "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day" under the 34th National Family Week, covering all state universities and colleges, government-owned or -controlled corporations, and national government agencies.

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗫 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

It is with profound sadness as the whole Department of Agricultural Education and Extension - MSU College of Agriculture, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City, mourns the loss of one of our students, who passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident near the College of Fisheries on September 24, 2026.

He was a junior student of this department, exemplified perseverance, diligence, and unwavering resolve. Despite living with a disability, he remained steadfast in his commitment to pursuing his academic degree and personal aspirations.

We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved family and loved ones, who nurtured him with love, care, and tenderness. Our collective prayers and comfort are with you as you navigate this unexpected and difficult journey.

We further urge the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the accident. It is essential to establish the underlying cause, the sequence of events, and the appropriate preventive measures to ensure that such tragedies do not repeat again in the future.

𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 | Two MSUans Hurt in Roadside Motorcycle Accident

Two students of Mindanao State University (MSU) were involved in a motorcycle accident along the College of Fisheries roadside earlier today, September 24, 2026.

They were immediately rushed to Amai Pakpak Medical Center for treatment.

One of the victims has been identified as Alifahmi Dimacaling Salem from the College of Agriculture (COA), which was reportedly accompanied by his brother.

The Department of Agricultural Education and Extension would like to celebrate its esteemed faculty member, Dr. Sittie Sahaya S. Samporna, on her designation as the new Secretary of the College of Agriculture, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City.

Persuant to the Special Order No. 741 Series of 2026 from the Office of the Chancellor and signed by the MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA released on August 25, 2026.

​Please be informed that classes and official work at the MSU Main Campus—including all MSU community high schools within the province of Lanao del Sur—are suspended on September 14 and 15, 2026.

​This suspension is in observance of the BARMM parliamentary elections pursuant to Proclamation No. 1395. Essential services like campus security and medical units will maintain a skeleton workforce. Regular classes and operations will resume on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

On September 1, 2026, Mindanao State University proudly celebrates its 65th Founding Anniversary at the MSU Sports Complex Oval Grounds, carrying the theme: MSU@65: Kultura, Kahusayan at Kaunlaran tungo sa Inklusibong Pamantasan.

This celebration is far more than a milestone, it stands as a powerful testament to the unity and love that bind every MSU external unit and the various colleges of MSU–Marawi as one community. It awakens the true spirit of every MSUan, upholding the deep camaraderie and unbreakable bond that unites us all, even amidst our beautiful and diverse cultural differences.

The Department of Agricultural Education and Extension, led by Professor Dr. Norhanie D. Hadji Jamel, together with the SAGEDEX officers headed by Neil Mike D. Classes at MSU-Main Campus, Marawi are suspended from September 1-4, 2026, to celebrate the 65th Foundation Day of MSU-Marawi and the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026. The suspension gives the entire MSU community the chance to join and support activities commemorating the University's 65 years of excellence, service, and commitment to the people of Mindanao, as well as the various events of the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026.

All colleges, offices, faculty, staff, and students are urged to join the activities, while faculty and academic units must arrange for any affected academic requirements or examinations. Regular classes resume on Monday, September 7, 2026.
