The Southern Christian College (SCC) Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program, in partnership with the SCCโ€“Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines (SCC-JSWAP), conducted a Program Retention Policy Orientation on July 3, 2026, at SCC Kniffin Park to familiarize BSSW students with the program's academic standards, retention requirements, and organizational expectations.

The orientation was spearheaded by CAS Dean Dr. Danilyn S. Omnes, BSSW Program Head Jean Agnes A. Pasiliao, RSW, MTSW, MSSW, and JSWAP Adviser Hope T. Batislaong, RSW. During the activity, Maโ€™am Hayamera B. Ibrahim, RSW, discussed the program's retention policy, while Maโ€™am Hope T. Batislaong, RSW, explained the grading system and the Mock Board Examination.

SCC-JSWAP President Ian C. Del Rosario also introduced the organization by presenting its mission, membership guidelines and fee, planned activities, and Income-Generating Projects (IGPs). Meanwhile, former Governor Merham A. Aragasi shared the highlights of the BSSW Program, giving students an overview of the opportunities and experiences they can expect throughout their academic journey.

The orientation aimed to prepare students for the academic demands of the program while encouraging active participation in SCC-JSWAP, promoting leadership, service, and professional growth among future social workers.
