✨Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y tagumpay na nagniningning, 🇵🇭
🌞Ang bituin at araw niya, kailan pa ma'y di magdidilim.🎶

Ang Pambansang Komisyon para sa Kultura at mga Sining ay nakikiisa sa paggunita ng National Flag Days mula 28 Mayo hanggang 12 Hunyo, bilang pagpupugay sa kasaysayan, pagkakaisa, at diwa ng ating pagka-Pilipino.

Sa panahong ito, hinihikayat ang lahat na maayos na itaas, ipakita, at igalang ang Pambansang Watawat sa mga tahanan, tanggapan, at pampublikong pook—bilang tanda ng ating malasakit at pagpapahalaga sa mga sakripisyong nagbunsod ng ating kalayaan.

Ayon sa Sagisag Kultura ng Pilipinas (2013), ang Pambansâng Watâwat ay unang iwinagayway sa Kawit, Cavite noong 12 Hunyo 1898 bilang simbolo ng ating kalayaan mula sa pananakop. Si Marcela Mariño de Agoncillo, isang babaeng may pagmamahal sa bayan na may talento sa pananahi, ang pinakiusapan ni Hen. Emilio Aguinaldo na gawin ang watawat. Ang disenyo nitó ay nagmula sa masuring diskusyon at pag-aaral ni Aguinaldo kasáma ang iba pang mga pinunò, at tinawag nilá itong “Ang Araw at Mga Bituin.” Ang bawat kulay, hugis, at disenyo ng watawat ay may simbolong kaakibat. Ang putîng triyanggulo sa kaliwa ay sumasagisag ng pag-asa sa pagkakapantay-pantay, ang asul na kulay sa itaas ay sumisimbolo ng kapayapaan, katotohanan, at hustisya, hábang ang puláng kulay sa ibabâ ay nangangahulugan ng pagmamahal sa bayan at kagitingan. Ang araw sa gitna ng putîng triyanggulo ay may walong sinag na kumakatawan sa unang walong probinsiya na lumaban sa Espanya: Maynila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Laguna, at Batangas. Hábang ang tatlong bituin sa bawat sulok ng tatsulok ay kumatakatawan sa tatlong pangunahing pulô sa ating bansa: ang Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao.

Ang watawat ay hindi lamang sagisag ng bansa, kundi paalala ng ating kolektibong kasaysayan at patuloy na paghubog ng ating kinabukasan bilang isang sambayanan.

Itaas natin ito nang may dangal at paggalang.

Judicpa, LPT, MAEd–TSS—proudly represented the Notre Dame of Midsayap College - First Notre Dame School in Asia at the 11th National Conference on Social Studies Education held at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Benitez Hall.

With the theme, “Social Studies at the Crossroads: Power, Participation, and the Filipino Youth,” the conference served as a meaningful platform for educators, scholars, and advocates to engage in critical conversations on the role of Social Studies education in shaping informed, empowered, and socially responsible Filipino youth.

Their participation reflects KNAP’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, civic engagement, and transformative education that prepares learners to think critically, participate meaningfully, and serve the nation with purpose.

Demonstrating its mission to transform lives through inclusive and community-centered education and to uplift underserved communities, 𝐍𝐃𝐌𝐂 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 47𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 in the category 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒅. The Research and Development Center (RDC) spearheaded the application process in close collaboration with the College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE), whose 𝐓𝐞𝐤𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 played a vital role by bringing technology education and digital empowerment to underserved communities. Its contribution significantly strengthened NDMC's entry and paved the way for the institution's first-ever WURI recognition.

As NDMC continues to grow locally and globally, this recognition reflects the institution’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and service to the communities it serves.
