๐ฅ๐ฅ The same water that hardens an egg softens a potato.
Both endure the same heat, yet they emerge differently. Perhaps people are the same. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
We see someone who has become distant, but we don't know how many times they were abandoned.
We see someone who guards their heart, but we don't know how often their trust was broken.
We see someone who remains kind, but we don't know how much cruelty they've faced.
We see someone who seems strong, but we don't know how many nights they struggled alone, holding themselves together when they had no one to lean on. ๐ฅ
We witness the boiling, but never the heat they've endured.
Sometimes, we judge people by their silence, mistake their softness for weakness, or misunderstand their walls without knowing the pain that made them build them.
The truth is, we see who people have become, but rarely the battles they fought to get there.
Not everyone responds to pain in the same way. Some become harder, some become softer, and some spend years trying to find themselves again after life changes them.
So, the next time someone's behavior is difficult to understand, pause before you judge. Choose compassion over assumptions and kindness over criticism. ๐ซถ
You never know how much someone has endured just to become the person standing in front of you. โค๏ธ
