Residents of Mahogany Residence Hall gathered for the 2026 Acquaintance Party last Friday, July 24, 2026, carrying the theme "Starry, Starry Night." The event served as an opportunity for both new and returning residents to build friendships and strengthen their sense of community within the dormitory.

A significant part of the evening was the oath-taking ceremony of the appointed and elected MRH officers and Media Committee Division Heads. They officially pledged to uphold their responsibilities and serve the residents throughout the academic year.

The night also featured a series of performances presented by the new residents under the guidance of the MRH officers. The performances formed part of the program prepared for the Acquaintance Party, with fellow residents responding enthusiastically as each group concluded its presentation.

Beneath the glow of the stars, the 2026 Acquaintance Party officially concluded, setting the tone for a memorable semester filled with new friendships and shared experiences.

Mahogany Residence Hall (MRH) recognized 𝐂𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐳 as the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 during its "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭" Acquaintance Party held on the evening of July 24, 2026. The award was determined through an online voting poll among MRH residents, with 𝐋𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐳 garnering the highest number of votes after captivating the audience through an outstanding stage presence and remarkable performance throughout the celebration.

The recognition served as one of the highlights of the evening, celebrating not only Lapuz's performance but also the enthusiasm and participation of the Mahogany community throughout the event.

The awarding ceremony formally concluded the Mahogany Residence Hall's "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭" Acquaintance Party, bringing an unforgettable evening of celebration, camaraderie, and stellar performances to a close.

Participants dazzled in their "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭"-themed outfits, with winners selected based on their creativity, overall presentation, and ability to captivate the judges.

Making it to the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 are 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐢, 𝐉𝐏 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐫, and 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨, along side the other outstanding finalists. Advancing to the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟑, 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨 and 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥 shared 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐥 claimed 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, while 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐚 of 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝟒 emerged as the 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝, earning the highest recognition for wearing the night's most stellar ensemble.

The competition showcased the creativity and dedication of Mahogany residents, who transformed the evening into a celebration of style, confidence, and individuality. Each participant brought their own interpretation of the celestial theme, proving that everyone truly shined beneath the stars.

On the evening of July 24, 2026, the lobby of Mahogany Residence Hall (MRH) sparkled with lights and star-inspired decorations as residents gathered for the much-anticipated Acquaintance Party 2026, carrying the theme "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭." Dressed in glamorous and creative outfits, residents from every room filled the venue with excitement as they celebrated an evening of friendship, unity, and new beginnings.

One of the night's highlights was the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, where each room showcased its creativity, style, and teamwork through coordinated attire and confident presentations. Every participant brought their own interpretation of the theme, making the celebration even more vibrant and memorable. The competition recognized not only eye-catching outfits but also the effort, coordination, and collaboration behind each room's presentation.

Serving as judges for the event were former MRH Vice President Mx. Rowell Domingo, Mx. John Leonard Agulto, former MRH President Sean Dysangco, and Dorm-in-Charge Sir Frank Joseph Libao, who carefully evaluated each room based on creativity, theme interpretation, overall appearance, and presentation. After careful deliberation, the winners of the Best Dressed Room competition were announced: 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟏 claimed 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝟒 secured 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟕 earned 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.

The recognition highlighted the residents' dedication and enthusiasm in embracing the night's celestial theme, adding another memorable moment to the 2026 Acquaintance Party as the Mahogany Residence Hall community celebrated not only outstanding creativity but also the camaraderie and unity shared among its residents.

The program officially commenced with an inspiring welcome message from Sir Frank Libao, who encouraged residents to foster meaningful friendships, actively participate in dorm activities, and make the most of their academic journey. He emphasized that every connection made that night would become another star to brighten their path in the years ahead.

Residents of Mahogany Residence Hall (MRH) gathered at the dormitory lobby to prepare for the much-awaited Acquaintance Party 2026, carrying the enchanting theme "Starry Starry Night." Residents from different rooms gathered to transform the MRH lobby, working side by side to complete the backdrop and put the finishing touches on the decorations. The lobby buzzed with excitement as everyone eagerly anticipated the celebration.

Driven by camaraderie, unity, and solidarity, every resident willingly shared their time and effort to ensure the preparations were completed on schedule. From painting the backdrop and arranging decorations to organizing the venue, each contribution reflected the strong sense of community within MRH. Beyond preparing for the event, the activity became an opportunity for residents to build friendships, strengthen bonds, and create memories even before the big night began.

The preparations were supervised by Publication Head Joss Bunag, together with backdrop designers Jerome Baldo, Jhomari Villanueva, and Aron Gabrillo, with the support of department heads Charls Fonacier, CK Belmonte, and Jayson Jonatas, as well as former Dorm President Sean Dysangco. The preparations were conducted under the guidance of Dorm-in-Charge Sir Frank Joseph D. Libao and Dorm President Deven Bueno, whose leadership helped keep the work organized and on track.

As the final touches were completed, anticipation grew for a magical evening where residents would come together to celebrate, connect, and create new memories under the glow of "Starry Starry Night."

The Mahogany Residence Hall (MRH) concluded its two-day performance critique despite a power interruption that disrupted the first day of rehearsals. The event served as the participants' final evaluation for the upcoming "Starry Night" Acquaintance Party, to be held on Friday, following the critique conducted on July 21–22, 2026, at the MRH Lobby.

Participating groups presented a variety of performances, including singing, dancing, and comedy theater. During the first day, the panel of critics provided constructive feedback and identified areas for improvement to help participants refine their performances.

The panel of critics was led by Dorm 10 & 11 Manager Frank Joseph D. Libao, together with former Student Assistant Dard Dasalla, former Dorm President Sean Dysangco, and newly appointed Dorm President Deven Bueno.

On the second day, the groups returned with revised presentations, displaying improved confidence, coordination, and stage presence after incorporating the panel's recommendations. Having completed the performance critique, the participants are now ready to showcase their talents at the "Starry Night" Acquaintance Party on July 24, 2026.
