Ranchers' Club Philippines is a non-college organization in Central Luzon State University.

Its main objective is to promote proper animal handling among students.

As the night grows dark, SARA lights the way. Featuring the carabao, the farmer’s trusted partner and symbol of strength, this lantern tells a story of resilience, learning, and unity in agriculture.

Created through the combined efforts of 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀–𝗖𝗟𝗦𝗨 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲–𝗖𝗟𝗦𝗨, the lantern’s moving wheel shows farmers’ realities, challenges, bayanihan, recovery, and hope, ending in a joyful Christmas celebration. Made with biodegradable and reused materials, it also reflects our commitment to sustainability and the SDGs.

Ranch Fact #1🤠

Did you know that cows are like natural water fountains? A single cow can produce over 100 liters of saliva per day, and in some cases, even up to 300 liters, depending on how much roughage they eat and how long they chew their cud!

Why so much? Saliva plays a huge role in keeping their digestion healthy:
✔️ It lubricates food so it’s easier to swallow.
✔️ It helps neutralize acids in the rumen (the cow’s first stomach) to prevent acidosis.
✔️ It keeps the billions of microbes inside the rumen happy and working efficiently.

According to the Journal of Dairy Science (1988), lactating dairy cows can produce anywhere from 108 to 308 liters of saliva daily. More recent studies (Frontiers in Veterinary Science, 2025) also note that cows can easily surpass 150 liters a day, especially when they’re eating fibrous feeds like grass and hay.

So the next time you see a cow chewing calmly in the pasture, remember: that’s not just munching, it’s a nonstop saliva factory working hard to keep the cow’s stomach in balance!

From humble beginnings in 1922 to this very day, the Ranchers’ Club Philippines – CLSU has carried its name with solidarity and contrast, courage and bravery, and purity. For more than a century, we have weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and built a legacy that continues to inspire generations of Ranchers.

As our hymn sings, “𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘢𝘺,” we are reminded of the enduring spirit that keeps us strong.
