With Hon. Renato U. Solidum Jr., Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), faculty researchers from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) participated actively in the DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) 2026 Annual Scientific Conference and 93rd General Membership Assembly, March 13 at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

CLSU's delegation this year reflects the institution's growing community of scholars and experts who continue to contribute to national and transnational research discourse. Their participation solidifies not only CLSU's vision to become world-class research University but also its commitment to advancing high-impact research, innovation, extension, and knowledge exchange aligned with the countryโs development priorities and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among the attendees are CLSU-College of Education faculty-researchers: Prof. Dr. Edwin D. Ibaรฑez (DOST-NRCP Associate Member), Chair, Department of Science Education (DSED); Assoc. Prof. Jupeth T. Pentang (DOST-NRCP Associate Member), DSED faculty; Asst. Prof. Joseph A. Villarama (DOST-NRCP Regular Member), faculty, CLSU Laboratory for Teaching & Learning-University Science High School (CLTL-USHS); and two (2) others who took their oath today as DOST-NRCP Regular Members, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abegail P. Simbre, faculty, Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education (DECEE) and Asst. Prof. Bench G. Fabros, CLTL-USHS faculty.
The DOST-NRCP's annual conference and assembly serves as a vital platform for sharing research insights, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening the role of academic institutions in building a progressive and research-driven nation.
