PLMunians, no more “𝘗𝘴𝘵𝘵𝘵! 𝘗𝘢-𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯!” because this time, we are making it official! The Center for Culture and the Arts (CCA) is opening its doors to student-leaders ready to bring their skills, ideas, and imagination to the table.

We’re looking for 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬, 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬, and 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 to join our Media Team—turning stories into content, ideas into visuals, and culture into something that deserves to be seen.

𝗣𝗟𝗠𝗨𝗡 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗖𝗨𝗖𝗢𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) holds its Level III ALCUCOA Accreditation for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management (BSBA-MM) on August 12, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at the SIA Hall.

The event commenced with PLMun ROTC’s Entrance of Colors and the Processional of the ALCUCOA Accreditation Team, followed by the introduction of the Master of Ceremony, Dr. Fermae L. Tamayao. Then, the Invocation and National Anthem were performed by the PLMun Chorale, along with the ALCUCOA Hymn, Muntinlupa March, and PLMun Hymn. Dr. Elena E. Presnedi, OIC of PLMun, delivered her welcoming remarks. Shortly after, Dr. Danilo B. Solayao, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented the PLMun Officials and Guests. Then, the ALCUCOA: Defining the School of Tomorrow AVP was played for the members and students to watch.

Dr. Edsel R. Umali, Vice President for REQALIGAD, then commenced the Presentation of the PLMun Accreditation Team, followed by the Presentation of the ALCUCOA Accreditors led by Dr. Kristin Joy Mendoza, Supervising Technical Assistant. Upon their introduction, messages were delivered by Dr. Renel Cruz, Technical Assistant; Dr. Juan Martin Guasch, Accreditor for Library; Dr. Melissa Grace S. Oreta, Program Accreditor for BSBA-MM; Dr. Danny Umoso, Program Accreditor for BSIT; and Dr./Atty. Gloria Victoria-Bañas, Supervising Accreditor.

Moreover, the Direction Setting was initiated by Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, President and Executive Director of ALCUCOA and President of ALCU, followed by a Photo Opportunity for the Officials and Guests. Lastly, Engr. Cynthia T. Meneses, Vice President for Administration, delivered the closing remarks.

However, due to the prevailing weather conditions brought by Typhoon Maymay, the succeeding activities of the Level III ALCUCOA Accreditation scheduled for August 13 and 14 were postponed to ensure the safety and well-being of all officials, accreditors, faculty members, and students involved.

𝗣𝗟𝗠𝗨𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗦 𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝟯𝟭𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟

On July 25, 2026, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) held its 31st Commencement Exercise for Graduate School, at The Bellevue Manila Hotel, under the theme “𝗣𝗟𝗠𝘂𝗻 @𝟯𝟭: 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗻̃𝗼.”

The commencement ceremony began with the processional, followed by the Entrance of Colors and the University Mace. The Invocation, National Anthem, and Muntinlupa March led by Ms. Lily G. Jarata and the PLMun Chorale then proceeded.

A message was delivered by the Honorable Jaime R. Fresnedi, inspiring the graduates to continue making a meaningful impact in the world.

Moving forward, Dr. Danilo B. Solayao led the presentation of candidates for graduation, followed by Dr. Elena E. Fresnedi’s conferment of graduate degrees. Dr. Danilo B. Solayao also led the presentation of special awards.

Thereafter, the introduction of the commencement speaker was led by Dr. Elena E. Fresnedi, followed by the commencement address delivered by Atty. Michael Kristian A. Ablan, reminding the graduates to learn, unlearn, and relearn. The presentation of the Plaque of Appreciation to the commencement speaker then proceeded.

A heartfelt message was also delivered by the Chairperson of the Board of Regents, Honorable Ruffy Biazon, acknowledging graduates’ determination and pursuit of knowledge.

The Hooding Ceremony then proceeded, followed by the awarding of diplomas, the Pledge of Commitment, and the introduction of the graduates to the MPC-PLMun Alumni Association.

To conclude the ceremony, the graduation song “Like an Eagle” by Carl Strommen was performed, followed by the graduates singing the PLMun Hymn. Exit of Colors and the University Mace, and the recessional then proceeded.

To our graduates, congratulations! May your journey never end here.

On the 19th of July, 2026, PLMun Chorale attended the graduation rehearsal of Graduate Studies (GS) held at The Bellevue Manila. The rehearsal was conducted as a part of their preparation for their performance on the upcoming Graduate Studies Graduation Ceremony, ensuring the choir's synchronization with the program flow.
