Last month, our team in Cebu partnered with Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc. (SEIPI) to deliver a three-day Project Management training for Caraga State University faculty in Butuan City. 🎓

Last April 29, 2026, SEIPI took part in the Brazil–Philippines Dialogue on Semiconductors and Microelectronics, a timely initiative that strengthens bilateral cooperation and deepens industry-academe linkages in support of the global electronics value chain.

The engagement shows how sustained partnerships among government, industry, and academe are key in reinforcing the Philippines’ position as a competitive hub for electronics manufacturing and investment.

April 8, 2026 - After the initial meeting, DBTC, through its College Sector, has been accepted as an affiliate member of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc.(SEIPI), the country’s leading organization of semiconductor and electronics companies and partner institutions. 🫶🏻

This milestone strengthens DBTC’s connections with industry and academia and opens new opportunities for collaboration with local and international partners in the semiconductor and electronics sector. The membership is also expected to support curriculum development, particularly for the planned Bachelor's in Engineering Technology (BET) program.

Through this engagement, DBTC continues to align its programs with industry needs and prepares competent, future-ready Bosconian graduates.

The Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc., represented by Associate Business Lead for External Affairs, Mr. Cris Bael, recently participated in an executive panel hosted by The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines , bringing together public and private sector leaders to discuss the vital intersection of investments and national security.

During the session, Mr. Bael underscored that the semiconductor and electronics industry remains a primary engine of the Philippine economy. In an era of scrutinized global supply chains, he emphasized that operational stability and industry resilience are non-negotiable for the Philippines to maintain its global competitive edge in terms of investment readiness, policy alignment, and public-private collaboration.
