On July 14, 2026, at 8:30 AM, the College of Criminal Justice officially welcomed its newest Criminology students through the conduct of the CCJ Reception Rites 2026, a long-standing tradition that marks the beginning of their journey as future public safety and law enforcement professionals.
The activity was graced by our very own Dean, Dr. Camille C. Francisco, together with Mr. Ronn Hiram B. Pasia, CCJ Program Staff, and Mr. Mark Alarba, Monitoring Officer from the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), whose presence and support highlighted the significance of this milestone for our freshmen.
The Reception Rites was successfully planned and facilitated by the dedicated officers of the Criminal Justice Student Council (CJSC) in collaboration with the ROTC Cadet Officers, who ensured that every activity was conducted in an organized, safe, and meaningful manner.
As part of the tradition, the freshmen participated in a series of structured physical exercises and team-building activities designed not to inflict hardship or humiliation, but to cultivate discipline, resilience, teamwork, mental fortitude, and physical endurance. Which qualities that every Criminology student must develop in preparation for the demands of their chosen profession.
More than a welcoming ceremony, the Reception Rites served as an opportunity to instill the core values of the College of Criminal Justice with discipline, integrity, respect, service, and excellence. While fostering camaraderie and a strong sense of belonging within the department.
The College of Criminal Justice warmly welcomes the newest members of our academic community. May this experience serve as the first of many meaningful steps toward becoming competent, principled, and service-oriented professionals committed to justice and nation-building.
