HISTOLOGY SET FOR THE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE TURNOVER CEREMONY
The turnover ceremony of the histology set for the College of Medicine was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Center for Linkages and International Affairs, under the leadership of Dr. Sherwin C. Esteron, and in partnership with REQALIA, led by its Vice President, Dr. Edsel R. Umali. The event highlighted the importance of academic partnerships in enhancing medical education and providing essential learning resources to future healthcare professionals.

The program formally started with a message from the OIC PLMun, Dr. Elena E. Presnedi. In her address, she expressed her profound gratitude to the sponsor for their unwavering support of the institution. She emphasized that the histology set would significantly contribute to strengthening the academic foundation of medical students, particularly in understanding microscopic anatomy, an essential component in medical training.

The highlight of the ceremony was the formal turnover of the histology set by Mr. Jose Querubin Lazar, President of the Alumni Association. His gesture symbolized the alumni’s continued commitment to giving back to the university and supporting the next generation of medical practitioners.

Following the turnover, the acceptance message was delivered by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Christopher Calaquian. He conveyed his sincere appreciation for the donation and underscored its significance in improving laboratory instruction and hands-on learning experiences for students. He assured that the equipment would be maximized for academic and instructional purposes.

A response from the student body was then delivered by Ms. Chrystelle Alina D. Reyes, Student Council Sponsorship and Marketing Head of the College of Medicine. She expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the students, acknowledging that the histology set would greatly enhance their learning and better prepare them for their future roles as medical professionals.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Bishop LJ Espeleta, Treasurer of the MPC Alumni Association. He reiterated the importance of unity, service, and continuous support among stakeholders in uplifting the quality of education. He also encouraged sustained collaboration between alumni, administration, and students.

Ang drainage project sa Bruger Street ay bahagi ng solusyon sa matagal nang pagbaha sa national road, partikular sa tapat ng City Hall.
Matagal na nating problema ang pagbaha sa lugar na ito. Ang orihinal na plano sana ay dumaan ang drainage sa ilang private properties, pero hindi ito napayagan kaya kinailangan nating humanap ng ibang ruta.
Dito napagdesisyunan na idaan sa Bruger Street ang drainage line papunta sa Laguna de Bay.

Hindi rin madali ang relocation dahil maraming residente at serbisyo ang maaaring maapektuhan. Nakipag-coordinate tayo sa mga public utility companies para mapabilis ang proseso habang sinisigurong minimal ang abala sa mga tao.

Malinaw sa kontraktor ang kanilang obligasyon. Kapag may hindi nasunod sa kontrata o hindi katanggap-tanggap na delay, may kaakibat itong multa at kaukulang parusa.
Sa ngayon, hinihingi po namin ang kaunting pang-unawa at pasensya habang tinatapos ang proyektong magbibigay ng pangmatagalang ginhawa laban sa pagbaha.

MARCH 2026 LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS RESULT

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa proudly congratulates its alumni from the College of Teacher Education for achieving a performance above the National Passing Rate (NPR) in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

For the Elementary Level, PLMun attained an overall passing rate of 69.64%, surpassing the NPR of 56.03%. Meanwhile, for the Secondary Level, the university achieved an overall performance of 79.12%, exceeding the NPR of 73.01%.

120th MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING
On May 7, 2026, the Management Committee convened its 120th MANCOM meeting in the University Boardroom. During this session, senior management engaged in collaborative discussions to reinforce the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education for all PLMun stakeholders.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Because of the scheduled final examinations this week and the forecasted 42°C heat index, the University will allow more flexible attire for your safety. You may come in white shirt, pants, and closed shoes. Please present your School ID or Certificate of Matriculation upon entry.

Students are also encouraged to bring water, preferably in reusable containers, to stay hydrated and help reduce waste.

PLMUN’S 2027 BUDGET ORIENTATION
On May 8, 2026, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa conducted its Budget Orientation at the Soroptimist International of Alabang (SIA) Hall, with the theme “Strategic Vision to Performance: Empowering Departments to Achieve Goals.”

The program commenced with the Invocation, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, the Muntinlupa March, and the PLMun Hymn. Dr. Elena E. Presnedi, Officer-in-Charge and University President, delivered the opening remarks, underscoring the importance of aligning all departments with the institution’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

The orientation featured four sessions:
Session 1: Understanding the Budget – presented by Ms. Lurleen Lacuna, Budget Officer.
Session 2: Preparing the List of PPAs (Programs, Projects, and Activities) – also discussed by Ms. Lacuna.
Session 3: Work Program and Expense Breakdown – delivered by Ms. Hellery Villota-Rongavilla, CPA.
Session 4: PPMP Preparation – facilitated by Ms. Myra Gail Dumlao-Icasiano, MPA.

The event concluded with the closing remarks of Ms. Melissa Untalan, CPA, Vice President for Finance, who emphasized the collective responsibility of each department in ensuring fiscal discipline and effective resource utilization.
