Despite the approaching typhoon, your generosity, hospitality, and prayers allowed the message of hope to be shared through live music. We felt God’s presence in every moment, and we are grateful for the partnership in ministry.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗼, 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗖𝗣𝗔𝗖 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗖𝗖𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲

CPAC takes pride in celebrating the achievements of two alumni, who were recently recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for their outstanding contributions to music composition.

CPAC alumni 𝑮𝒆𝒛𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒐 and 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒏 were among the honorees as composers who won the biennial Composition Prize 2024. The awarding ceremony was done on July 29, 2025, at the Tanghalang Leandro V. Locsin, NCCA Building in Intramuros, Manila. Along with the awarding ceremony was the holding of the World Premier Concert Series 1.

Santiso received the Honorable Mention in the 𝑆𝑜𝑙𝑜 𝑅𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑎 𝐶𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑔𝑜𝑟𝑦 for his work 𝑰𝒅𝒍𝒂𝒌 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒊𝒕𝒐-𝒐𝒏 (𝑮𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔), a piece celebrated for its evocative melodies and cultural resonance. Meanwhile, Parcon earned the 𝑆𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝐽𝑢𝑟𝑦 𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑧𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑜 𝐶𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑔𝑜𝑟𝑦 𝐴 for his composition 𝑬𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, recognized for its technical brilliance and creative approach to piano performance.

The NCCA Composition Prize is one of the country’s most prestigious awards for Filipino composers whose works go beyond popular or traditional music-writing or improvisation. It recognizes new works that reflect both artistic excellence and Filipino cultural identity.

CPAC commends both Santiso, a BSED-MAPEH graduate and Parcon, a BM-Music Education graduate, for their dedication to the art of music and for bringing honor to their alma mater through their talents and achievements.
