Today, a meaningful learning experience unfolded through the 𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂𝙊𝙂: 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, with the theme “𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀,” held on May 6, 2026 via Google Meet.

In every discussion, every idea shared, and every strategy explored, we are reminded that education becomes powerful when every 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙜 is heard—especially the voices of Learners with Special Needs.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our resource speaker, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗢. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀, for sharing insightful perspectives and practical strategies that deepen our understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching in Science and Mathematics. 𝗚𝗜𝗬𝗔 𝟮.𝟬 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭: 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗗𝗗, 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗧𝗜

The Second BSNED Seminar and Training titled 𝐆𝐈𝐘𝐀 𝟐.𝟎: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐃 was successfully held last February 19-20, 2026. Attended by the 1st and 2nd year students on the first day and the 3rd and 4th year students on the second day.

The first day was projected for the freshies and sophomores as the speakers talked about topics that will help them through their college life. The first speaker, Ma'am Melody Barcelona, talked about the 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦. Her knowledge on the topic made her deliver it smoothly, giving out some facts, real life stories, and teaching strategies for the participants. On the afternoon session, Ma'am Maria Virginia Nierva talked about the 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. This topic was really helpful and insightful especially for the participants who's yet to use different frameworks in assessing learners.

The day ended with lots of fun through the games and ice breakers, new knowledge acquired given by the guest speakers, and another reason to continue striving in the BSNED program. And that's not all because the second day event will give us more insights, knowledge, and fun that will guide us in our journey in SPED.

Huge congratulations to the 32 BSNED 4th Year Students who are pinned last January 24, 2026. The ceremony commenced at the CSPC Auditorium, together with the other CTDE 4th year students.

This will be the start of a new journey as pre-service educators in the field of special education. May you always remember your vocations as SPED Educators, and bring the knowledge and skills until your professional years.
