In times of crisis, a calm presence, a listening ear, and the right response can make all the difference.
Last ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the USI Peer Facilitators Group successfully conducted the ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด: ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ held at the USI Mini Theater.
The morning session began with warm welcomes, preliminaries, and engaging activities that set the tone for a meaningful day of learning. Participants were then guided through the Core ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ (๐ฃ๐๐) ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด led by Sir ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐๐ถ๐ป ๐. ๐๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐, ๐ฅ๐ฃ๐๐, ๐ฅ๐ฃ๐บ, ๐๐ฃ๐ง, ๐๐๐ฅ๐, ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฆ, where students explored the importance of providing immediate psychosocial support during crises and emergencies.
Through insightful discussions, role-playing activities, and an open forum, Peer Facilitators and Psychology students gained valuable knowledge on how empathy, presence, and proper response can help individuals experiencing distress.
This student-led initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening minds and building practical skills that can extend beyond the university and into the community.
