𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗧 𝗕𝗬 𝗢𝗡𝗘, 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗬. 👷🏻‍♂️👷🏻‍♀️🏗️

A license may carry one name, but no engineer arrives at that name alone.

Today, we honor the 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀, whose years of learning, sacrifice, sleepless nights, and quiet perseverance have brought them to this milestone.

Their achievement is also a reflection of the community that helped build them: the faculty who taught beyond the classroom, the families who stood behind them, the friends who stayed through the difficult days, and the institution that nurtured them along the way.

This year, UNC Civil Engineering also proudly stands 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝟬 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. More than a number, this milestone represents a collective effort and a shared commitment to forming engineers worthy of the profession they are now entering.

To our passers, your names may be the ones we celebrate today, but your journey was never yours alone.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆. 𝗡𝗼𝘄, 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

Congratulations, our newest Civil Engineers.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

With an impressive 𝟳𝟳.𝟵𝟮% passing rate for first-time takers and an overall passing rate of 𝟲𝟲.𝟲𝟳%, UNC once again outperforms the national benchmarks of 𝟱𝟮.𝟯𝟯% for first-timers and 𝟯𝟳.𝟭𝟲% overall in the 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Behind these impressive numbers are months of focus, late nights, and total commitment.
