NCF-CCJE Hosts Career Pathways and Opportunities Forum for Criminology Graduates

NAGA CITY — The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) conducted the Career Pathways and Opportunities for Criminology Graduates on September 23–24, 2026, at the NCF Basketball Court.

Anchored on the theme, “Beyond the Badge: Building Careers, Serving Communities, and Upholding Justice,” the two-day activity provided Criminology students and graduates with an opportunity to explore the various career pathways available in the field of criminology, law enforcement, public safety, and government service.

The activity brought together representatives from various government agencies and uniformed services, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine Army (PA), Parole and Probation Administration (PPA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Navy (PN), and Philippine Air Force (PAF).

The participating agencies shared information on their respective mandates, career opportunities, qualifications, recruitment processes, and the roles that Criminology graduates may pursue within their organizations.

Among the resource persons and representatives were Henry P. Carmen of BSP; Fire Chief Inspector Josephine Jeanette C. Barandon, RN, MAN of BFP; Agent Edward Kenn Ampongan and Investigation Agent V Dennis C. Villamor of PDEA; Technical Sergeant Cesar E. Regil Jr. II (PA) of the Philippine Army; representatives from PPA; Senior Agent Ricardo B. Belmonte of NBI; representatives from BJMP; LTJG Ronel B. Robosa of PCG; LT Commander Orlan R. Orosco of the Philippine Navy; and representatives of the Philippine Air Force.

The forum emphasized that a Criminology degree offers diverse professional opportunities beyond traditional law enforcement careers, with graduates contributing to public safety, investigation, corrections, rehabilitation, financial security, disaster response, and national service.

Through the activity, CCJE students were encouraged to broaden their career perspectives, strengthen their competencies, and prepare themselves for the professional responsibilities that await them after graduation.

The Career Pathways and Opportunities for Criminology Graduates reflects the CCJE's continuing commitment to equipping future criminologists with the knowledge, skills, values, and career awareness needed to become competent and responsible professionals in service of the community and the nation.

Beyond the badge, there is a career. Beyond a career, there is a commitment to serve.

𝗡𝗖𝗙 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬: In light of circulating online reports concerning potential security risks in academic institutions today, September 25, 2026, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) is taking precautionary measures to guarantee the absolute safety and security of its entire community.

​Accordingly, please be guided by the following directives:

• ​Classes in all levels across all campuses shall shift to online synchronous classes effective Friday, September 25, 2026, until further notice through a subsequent bulletin.

• ​Administrative offices and business operations shall proceed as usual. Employees and visitors are advised to maintain vigilance and adhere to established safety protocols upon entering and exiting campus premises.

• ​Heightened security protocols—including thorough routine inspections of vehicles and bags—will be strictly enforced by the NCF Security and Safety Office.

Immediately upon receipt of the information, NCF established direct coordination with the Naga City Government and relevant security agencies to evaluate the situation and safeguard the academic community.

NCF strongly urges the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, rumors, or alarmist content online that induce unnecessary anxiety among students and families.

Furthermore, the institution reminds everyone that making or sharing threats—even in jest—is a serious violation of law and public order.

​During times like these, our strength lies in unity, composure, and mutual support. Let us continue to prioritize the peace, safety, and well-being of our entire Tiger community.

NCF-CCJE Holds Graduate Studies Orientation and Re-Orientation

The Naga College Foundation, Inc. – College of Criminal Justice Education (NCF-CCJE) conducted its Orientation and Re-Orientation for Graduate Studies: Master’s and Doctorate Degrees on September 5, 2026, for the 1st Semester, Academic Year 2026–2027.

The activity focused on orienting graduate students on academic policies, program requirements, and other important matters. It also featured an Open Forum and Election of Officers, encouraging active participation and engagement among the students.

The program was attended by NCF-CCJE administrators, faculty, and graduate students, marking the beginning of another academic journey toward academic excellence and professional growth.

RE-ORIENTATION ON ACADEMIC POLICY | THIRD YEAR

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) successfully conducted its Re-Orientation on Academic Policy for Third-Year Criminology students on September 3, 2026, at the Criminology Hall, 6th Floor, MTV Annex.

The activity provided students with a clearer understanding of the College’s academic policies, expectations, discipline formation, and responsibilities as future criminology professionals. It also served as an opportunity to reinforce the values of accountability, discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.

Our sincere appreciation to our resource speakers and facilitators for sharing their knowledge and guidance, and to our students for their active participation and commitment to becoming better prepared future Registered Criminologists.

𝗡𝗖𝗙 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬: In light of the solemn observance of the annual Peñafrancia Festival and to guarantee the safety, mobility, and spiritual engagement of the entire Tiger community, please be guided by the following adjustments to academic classes and administrative operations across all levels and campuses:

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆): Full suspension of all classes and administrative office operations in solemn commemoration of the Traslacion Procession.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆): Classes across all levels and campuses shall shift to online instructional delivery.

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆): Administrative offices remain closed. However, regular in-person classes will proceed for all components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲–𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 – 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆): A comprehensive suspension of all classes and administrative office operations in honor of the series of religious and civic events for the Peñafrancia Festival.

All members of the NCF community are strongly advised to plan ahead, organize their academic obligations, and make all necessary personal and operational adjustments early to prevent unexpected delays and inconvenience caused by festival traffic, road closures, and schedule changes during this period.

Regular in-person classes and full administrative office operations across all programs will resume on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

NCF-CCJE NAPOLCOM FORUM 2026

Preparing the Enforcers of Tomorrow

The Naga College Foundation, Inc. – College of Criminal Justice Education (NCF-CCJE) successfully hosted the NAPOLCOM Forum 2026 on September 3, 2026, with the theme:

“Future Enforcers: Navigating PNP Recruitment and Modern Crime Prevention.”

The forum provided criminology students with valuable insights into PNP recruitment, medical and physical requirements, and current crime prevention and peace and order concerns in Naga City.

Distinguished professionals from NAPOLCOM and the Philippine National Police (PNP) shared their expertise, experiences, and practical insights, giving students a clearer understanding of the expectations and challenges of a career in law enforcement.

More than an orientation, the forum served as a reminder that the journey toward the badge begins long before wearing the uniform—with discipline, competence, character, integrity, and a genuine commitment to public service.

Today’s learners. Tomorrow’s protectors. Future enforcers ready to serve.

NCF-CCJE continues to shape criminologists who are prepared not only to enforce the law, but also to uphold justice, protect the community, and serve with integrity.
