𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: In a reverent congregation, the Villanueva family, kin, and the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) community escorted the late NCF President, Capt. Roland Peckson Villanueva, to his final resting place at the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque, on Monday morning, May 4, 2026.

Rev. Fr. Jerry Pechayco presided over a Requiem Mass, which served as a moment of collective prayer and a definitive tribute to the legacy of Capt. Roland, followed by a series of evocative eulogies highlighting Capt. Roland's lifetime dedicated to service and philantrophy.

In a simultaneous expression of institutional solidarity, the NCF community offered its concluding salutations through a concurrent Eucharistic Mass at the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, NCF Main Campus, officiated by School Chaplain Rev. Fr. Ryan O. Fenis and Concelebrant Rev. Fr. Godofredo C. Rueda, Jr.

Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) celebrates the significant achievement of 38 competent passers of the Caregiving National Certificate (NC) II Assessment, administered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in April 2026.

Demonstrating mastery in the art and science of care through the theoretical and clinical expertise of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), these TESDA-certified caregivers triumphantly hurdled the competency-based evaluation, which rigorously measured their skills, knowledge, and attitudes in providing essential care to infants, children, the elderly, and individuals with special needs.

The Home of the Champions congratulates the entire CHS community and its faculty of instruction, headed by Dr. Stanley O. Dy, College Dean and Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences, for their unwavering commitment to excellence and prominence in the field of health sciences.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The Villanueva family, alongside the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) community, relatives, and close associates, gathered in solemn assembly for the final night and Necrological Service of the late former NCF President, Capt. Roland Peckson Villanueva, held at the Del Pilar Chapel, Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque on May 3, 2026.

The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Jerry Pechayco, served as a spiritual tribute to a life dedicated to service and institutional excellence.

Integrating a musical salute and a series of eulogies that reflected on the profound impact of Capt. Roland's leadership and character, the liturgy transitioned into a poignant necrological program.

In a unified tribute, speakers highlighted Capt. Roland’s relentless pursuit of lifelong learning and his exemplary role as “the best Lolo the world had,“ recalling how he strategically utilized his blessings and resources to uplift others and served as a pillar of wisdom, philanthropy, and visionary leadership.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) community gathered in solemn remembrance on April 30, 2026, to honor the life and enduring legacy of its second President, Capt. Roland Peckson Villanueva, during a dedicated memorial service held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, NCF Main Campus.

Rev. Fr. Ryan O. Fenis, School Chaplain, who presided over the Mass, reminded the Christian faithful to "keep the lamps burning" and reflect upon the "life well-lived" of Capt. Roland, which, according to Rev. Fr. Fenis, demonstrates "a life filled with faith, love, and readiness."

"Capt. Roland kept his lamp burning... by dedicating his life to his family, service, and leadership... by guiding others and shaping their lives," Rev. Fr. Fenis stated.

Along with the department heads, employees, and students who pay their tributes to Capt. Roland, key executives in attendance included Dr. Roger P. Villanueva, Chief Finance Officer; Dr. Aida P. Osea, Executive Vice President for External Linkages and Internationalization; Dr. Nora Elizabeth F. Maniquiz, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Vice President for Digital Transformation; Ms. Teenarose O. Castroverde, Vice President for Administrative and Institutional Affairs; Dr. Nelba O. Olaso, Vice President for Sports, Culture, and the Arts; Dr. Josephine Francia R. Villanueva, Dean and Assistant Vice President for Graduate Studies; and Ms. Rea Villanueva-Agregado, School Registrar.

The NCF flag remains at half-mast as the community joins the Villanueva family in the solemn period of mourning and prayer.

Capt. Roland passed away at the age of 93 on April 28, 2026. His remains currently lie in repose at the Del Pilar Chapel, Manila Memorial Park, Sucat, Parañaque.

Furthermore, the NCF community will once more offer a Memorial Mass on Monday, May 4, at 9:00 a.m. at the campus chapel, coinciding with the final rites at the Manila Memorial Park.
