UNC Joined the 4th Feria de Camarines, Strengthened Commitment to Consumer Welfare and Community Development

The University of Nueva Caceres proudly participated in the opening of the 4th Feria de Camarines, held at the Atrium of Robinsons Place Naga.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Camarines Sur, in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office, this year's trade fair carried the theme "UMA Usbong" (Uplift the Market of Agri-Based Products)—a celebration of locally produced agricultural products, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the dedication of our local farmers and micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Representing the University, Dr. Fay Lea Patria M. Lauraya, University President, delivered a message reaffirming UNC's commitment to empowering communities through education, innovation, and meaningful partnerships.

A key highlight of the opening ceremony was the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing on Consumer Welfare Protection between the University of Nueva Caceres and the Department of Trade and Industry, further strengthening their shared commitment to promoting consumer rights, responsible business practices, and public awareness.

As a steadfast partner in nation-building, UNC continued to collaborate with government agencies and industry leaders in creating opportunities that uplifted communities, supported local enterprises, and inspired future-ready citizens.

The University of Nueva Caceres – School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) warmly welcomed its Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) students during the ETEEAP Students Assembly: "Let's Meet Your Professor."

The assembly served as an opportunity for students to meet their professors, establish meaningful connections, and gain valuable insights into their academic journey. It also provided a venue to discuss program expectations, academic policies, and the support systems available to help students succeed as they balance their studies with personal and professional commitments.

The University of Nueva Caceres (UNC), through its School of Business and Accountancy (SBA), formally strengthened its commitment to industry collaboration through the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing with the Bankers’ Association of Camarines Sur, Inc.

The ceremonial signing brought together university officials and officers of the Bankers’ Association of Camarines Sur, Inc., led by its President, Domar Nicolas Sara (BPI), together with Vice President Peachit Canet Mora (City State Bank), Auditor Djohanna Alcaide (Camalig Bank), Secretary Reina Garcia (CARD Bank), Don Belleza (Bank of Makati), and Joey Vibar (China Bank Savings).

The partnership aims to strengthen the collaboration between the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) and the banking industry by providing students with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, professional engagement, and industry exposure. It also reinforces UNC's commitment to producing globally competitive, ethical, and industry-ready graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the dynamic world of business and finance.

In line with the opening of Academic Year 2026–2027, the Business and Accountancy College Council (BACC) will host Kickoff 2026: The Game Plan for Success (Lead. Build. Achieve.) on July 21, 2026, at the UNC Sports Palace.

📌 Program Schedule:

🕐 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
SBA Orientation for Freshmen and Transferees

🕔 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
SBA General Assembly for all SBA students

All SBA students are required to attend the General Assembly, while Freshmen and Transferees are expected to participate in the Orientation. Faculty members and administrative staff are likewise encouraged to attend in support of the SBA community.

Please be informed that students will be excused from their scheduled classes during the program.
