🏙 CHAMPIONS OF THE PILGRIM CITY! 🏙
Remontados congratulates its contingent for their performance at the 6th Nagueño Debate Championship last April 24-26, 2026, hosted in-person by the Naga City Youth Officials at Naga City Science High School!
🏆 Pilip Dolor (3 BS Civil Engineering), Lee Bongon (1 AB Philosophy, Foreign Service & Int'l Relations), and Crystal Dominique Resari (4 BS BA Management) emerged as the unanimous Open Champions of the tournament after breaking 2nd in the preliminary rounds!
The team also bagged individual accolades, with Crystal being awarded Overall Best Speaker and Finals Best Speaker, followed by Pilip at 3rd Best Speaker and Lee at 8th Best.
🏆 Emilia Mari Goyena (4 BS Psychology), Eizza Nicole Rapi (3 BS Psychology), and Bea Ashanti Primne (2 BS BA Legal Management) broke 1st overall and proudly ended their run as Open Semifinalists. Bea was the 3rd Best Speaker overall, while Eizza was hailed 5th Best.
Our subsidized judges were also podium finishers of the tournament!
🏅 At the top of the podium, Josper Clores (4 BS Psychology) broke as an adjudicator and bagged the Overall Best Judge award!
🏅 Cedric Cortez Jr. (3 AB Philosophy, Foreign Service & Int'l Relations) also broke as a judge and was hailed the 2nd Best Judge! He also topped the competition's judge test prior to the rounds.
🏅 Nina Bermas (2 AB Philosophy, Foreign Service & Int'l Relations) also broke as an adjudicator and was the 3rd Best Judge of the competition.
🏅 Our alumni, Justine Sio (BS BA Legal Management ‘25) and Al Florence Albo (BSEd Social Studies ‘23) were members of the Core Adjudication Panel, providing relevant and interesting motion sets while lending their expertise in judging throughout.
