The USI-Central Student Government stands in deep solidarity with the entire community as we mourn the tragic and untimely passing of Mr. Vince Anthony P. Mendoza, a beloved graduating 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology student and a proud member of the USI Falcons Pep Squad.

Vince Anthony Mendoza, who was completing his internship at the Bicol Medical Center (BMC), was found lifeless last night in Barangay Dayangdang, Naga City. According to initial reports from authorities, he was allegedly robbed and fatally stabbed. The suspect behind this horrific crime surrendered to Police Station 5 earlier this morning.

It is both heartbreaking and infuriating that such a cruel and senseless act of violence has taken the life of a young man full of dreams, potential, and spirit, just as he was about to complete his journey as a student. We strongly condemn this heinous crime in the highest possible terms and extend our heartfelt sympathies and prayers to Vinceโ€™s family, friends, classmates, and everyone whose lives he touched.

We call for an urgent and thorough investigation and for justice to be served without delay. In addition, we urgently appeal to our local leaders and law enforcement agencies to take concrete and lasting action toward ensuring a safer, more secure Naga City for all.
We also encourage everyone, especially our fellow students, to remain vigilant, cautious, and mindful of their safety at all times.

To the bereaved family of Mr. Mendoza, the USI-Central Student Government offers its deepest condolences, unwavering support, and prayers during this time of immeasurable grief.
