As a proud graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies program of Saint Michael College of Caraga, I can truly say that choosing this path was one of the best decisions I have made. Since elementary, Araling Panlipunan / Social Studies has always been my favorite subject, especially history. I was fascinated by the historical facts, stories, and lessons behind every person, place, and event. Because of that passion, I became firm in my decision to pursue the BSED Social Studies program.

At first, I thought social studies was only about countries and capitals in geography and simple lessons in history. However, as I journeyed through the program, I discovered that it goes far beyond that. It opened my mind to various disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, and many more. It helped me understand society, culture, governance, and the realities of the world we live in.

More than gaining academic knowledge, the program prepared me to become an educator who can teach students to be informed and be responsible citizens of the community. It emphasized the importance of helping learners understand current issues, appreciate the past, respect diversity, and actively participate in building a better society. In a world full of uncertainty and rapid change, these values are more important than ever.

I am grateful to Saint Michael College of Caraga for providing quality education, dedicated faculty, and a values-centered environment that nurtured my growth as a future teacher. Mayo 12, 2026 adlaw nga Martes gipaguwa sa Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ang talaan ang mga nakapasar sa LEPT nga gipahigayon niadtong Marso 2026.

Ang SMCC CTE naka-angkon og 91.67% nga passing rate alang sa first time takers sa elementary, samtang 91.04% usab alang sa first time takers sa secondary. Mas taas kini sa national passing rates nga 56.03% (elementary) ug 73.10% (secondary).
