The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Council on Violence Against Women and Children (IACVAWC), leads the annual observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) from November 25 to December 12.

The campaign supports the Philippine Government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence against women. The theme “VAW-free community starts with Me '' enjoins and highlights the role of everyone in pursuing the common vision of a safe community free from VAW. The campaign has also been used as a platform to promote and discuss different laws protecting women and girls from violence.

This year, the spotlight is set on the Republic Act 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act, two (2) years from its enactment. Under the sub-theme Filipino Marespeto; Safe Spaces, Kasali Tayo, we aim to raise the awareness of the public on the law and contribute in capacitating the institutions mandated to implement the law.

The College of Engineering Student Council is in full support of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).

Congratulations to all the winners and participants of the CE Fest Day! God Bless and keep safe everyone! :D
