The An Lantugi Debate Society proudly celebrates the achievement of our delegates at the Agrikonomiya 2026 Debate Competition, held on March 21–22, 2026, and hosted by the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Our Quarterfinalists, who emerged as the 7th Breaking Team, demonstrated strong critical thinking, teamwork, and speaking skills in a competitive national tournament, with Dwayne Dela Peña (STEM 11), Zach Delfin (STEM 12), and Ethan Dale Salentes (STEM 11) advancing to the outrounds and representing the institution.

We also recognize our 1st Reserve Breaking Team—Matthew Jules Narrido (Grade 9 – Electron), Mikko Bernil (Grade 9 – Electron), and Chazlene Quijano (ABM 11)—for their commendable performance throughout the competition.

The An Lantugi Debate Society proudly congratulates Ethan Dale Salentes for his achievement at the Lampara Debate Open held on March 14–15, 2026, a tournament celebrating Women’s Month and the power of voices advocating for equality, justice, and meaningful discourse.

Together with teammates Heloise Gerona (Universidad de Sta. Isabel de Naga Inc.) and Ynyl Xhyji Valladolid (Daraga National High School), Ethan delivered an outstanding performance, breaking as the 1st Schools Reserve Breaking Team and advancing as Schools Semi-Finalists.

We proudly congratulate Jay Lawrence E. Pentado and Carmelle Anne Bernadas, distinguished alumni of the An Lantugi Debate Society, for emerging as LET Topnotchers (September 2025).

Lawrence previously served as Prime Minister of the organization and led the society to remarkable achievements, including Sinag Cup Semi-Finalist, VUDC-BP Semi-Finalist, and EVYFF Champion, exemplifying excellence in leadership, strategy, and competitive debate.

Carmelle, a committed and dependable member of the society, played a vital role behind the scenes—helping organize and manage debate tournaments hosted by the organization. Her dedication, organizational skills, and quiet leadership greatly contributed to the success of these events.

Crystel Mae Demate, a proud debater from An Lantugi: BiPSU Debate Society, emerged as the Extemporaneous Speaking Champion during the 63rd National Youth Rizal Leadership Institute held at the Chavit Singson Coliseum in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, from December 5–8.

The National Youth Rizal Leadership Institute aims to inculcate in the minds and hearts of the youth leaders the tenets of Rizalian leadership, character building, and socio-cultural awareness essential to becoming effective and responsible citizens.

Since its founding in 2007, ALDS has stood as a beacon of intellect, discourse, and empowerment—inspiring generations to stand up, speak up, and be heard.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our founding members, alumni, university officials, advisers, and the current officers and members who have carried the flame of An Lantugi through the years. Your dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment have shaped not only minds and voices but also a legacy that continues to grow stronger with time. 💙

The An Lantugi: BiPSU Debate Society congratulates its participating debaters for their performance at the recent Luzon Intervarsity 2025!

LIV is an annual debate tournament of The Parliament: UPLB Debate Society and is one of the largest British Parliamentary debate tournaments in Luzon. It was held on October 18-19, onsite at the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

The team, composed of Jae Paculan and Crys Demate, broke first in the Novice Category. Crys was awarded as the 4th Overall Best Novice Speaker of the tournament.
