Last October 1, 2026, the Youth Disaster Forum: "Planado, Panatag, Protektado 2026" was held at the Arellano Universityโ€“Elisa Esguerra Campus (AU-EEC) Senior High School Library, with Ms. Mitsumi Buรฑi and Mr. Myke Labrador serving as the masters of ceremonies. The forum brought together students and resource speakers to promote disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and community resilience.

The forum featured two discussions on Disaster Risk Management. The first discussion was led by Mr. Hener S. Santos, followed by the second discussion led by Mr. Raymond San Juan. Both sessions highlighted the importance of understanding disaster risks and preparing for emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.

Moreover, Mr. Hener S. Santos demonstrated the proper actions and procedures to take during emergencies and disasters, providing students with practical knowledge on how to respond appropriately in critical situations. The forum also included an icebreaker and an open forum, allowing participants to engage in the discussions and gain a deeper understanding of disaster preparedness.

In summary, the Youth Disaster Forum served as a meaningful reminder that preparedness begins with awareness and responsible action. Bilang pangulo ng SGWP, hindi lang basta tungkol sa wika at panitikan ang iyong tungkulin. Bahagi rin ng pagiging lider ang pagbibigay-inspirasyon sa iba at pagpapakita kung gaano kahalaga ang mga salitang ginagamit natin at mga kuwentong nagbibigay-kulay sa ating kultura. Today, honoring her legacy, we marked Mrs. Elisa Esguerra Cayco's 136th Birth Anniversary, also known as โ€œLola Elisaโ€.

๐˜ฟ๐™ž๐™™ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช ๐™ ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฌ? Arellano University - Elisa Esguerra Campus was named after Mrs. Elisa Esguerra Cayco, the wife of Florentino Cayco Sr., founder of Arellano University!

During the school's transition from a single law college in 1938 to a booming university in 1947, she acted as one of the strong foundation and support systems of the university from behind the scenes.

For that reason, she's not just an important figure in Arellano University's history, ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜† ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป in society that championed and makes education accessible for everyone.

Last September 21, we celebrated the 1st Peace Pole Anniversary here at Arellano University-Elisa Esguerra Campus (AU-EEC) with Ms. Baby Joy Deguit as the master of ceremonies and the Junior High School Department as the participant in this remarkable event promoting solidarity, harmony, and tranquility brought by different countries across the globe.

The event began with a prayer led by student leaders, followed by the National Anthem and Arellano Hymn. The opening remarks were conveyed by our principal, Mr. Mark C. Malonzo, followed by the special message delivered by Ms. Madelyn Bautista.

For the special number, the Hiraya Ensemble Club performed a heartwarming contemporary dance, preceded by the energizing peace pole led by Ms. Madelyn Bautista, Mr. Oscar Ejercito, and Mr. Gabriel Medina.

Moreover, the event continued with the world peace prayers led by students, faculty, and NTP, followed by special intentions and the offering of flowers, together with the closing remarks delivered by our assistant principal, Mr. Dhavid Paul Tapang.
