The Turret officially opens submissions for 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲: 𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗨𝗦𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗚 🌿

Ang “Pag-usbong” ay sumasalamin sa masalimuot ngunit makabuluhang proseso ng pagbabago—tulad ng isang uod na dumaraan sa yugto ng pagkukubli bago tuluyang maging isang paru-paro. Hindi agad nakikita ang paglago sapagkat ito’y kadalasang nagaganap sa katahimikan, sa loob ng sariling “kukun,” kung saan hinuhubog ang lakas, pagkatao, at mga pangarap. Mula sa payak na simula, sa tahimik na pakikibaka, hanggang sa ganap na pagyabong, ipinapakita nito na ang tunay na pagbabago ay hindi madali, ngunit sa tamang panahon, ito’y nagbubunga ng isang mas matatag at ganap na sarili.

𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘

Leadership begins with awareness, empathy, and the courage to take a stand.

As the CSC elections approach, students are encouraged to look beyond popularity and examine candidates based on their stance on issues that may affect both the student body and the campus community.

With that, The Turret asked CSC candidates about their position on selected national and campus issues. Through this segment, aspiring student leaders were given the opportunity to express whether they support, oppose, or abstain on various matters currently shaping discussions inside and outside the campus.

The segment aims to promote informed voting, student awareness, and meaningful political engagement ahead of the elections.

Online voting for the CSC elections will officially begin on May 15, 2026.

[𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦] On May 14, 2026, students of Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) – New Bataan branch gather at the Activity Center for the Miting de Avance of the aspiring officers for the College Student Council (CSC) Election 2026.

During the event, candidates from the STREAK Partylist, BAGTIK Partylist, and independent aspirant present their platforms, advocacies, and plans for serving the student body. Each candidate shares their vision, leadership goals, and commitment to strengthening student representation and promoting student welfare within the institution.

The activity also features an open forum, where students are given the opportunity to raise questions and concerns regarding the candidates’ proposed programs and leadership plans. This allows aspiring student leaders to further explain their advocacies and demonstrate their readiness to assume leadership responsibilities within the college.

The event serves as a platform for transparency, student participation, and informed decision-making as students prepare to elect the next set of CSC officers.
