Romblon State University upholds 𝐑𝐀 𝟗𝟕𝟐𝟏 as an act converting the Romblon State College in the Municipality of Odiongan, Province of Romblon into a State University to be known as the Romblon State University and appropriating funds therefore.

Romblon State University and all of its satellite campuses are now ISO EOMS certified. TUV Rheinland - Indonesia awarded Romblon State University (RSU) its ISO 21001:2018 Certification for Educational Organization Management Systems for RSU Main Campus and all (08) RSU Satellite Campuses on July 23, 2025.

ISO certification is awarded to educational institutions that have successfully met the criteria and methods for ensuring the quality of deliverables and services.

Mr. Turner Evon de Torres was awarded 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 at the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗛-𝗥𝗲𝗖𝗼𝗻) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, held by the University of Santo Tomas Sentro Turismo of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management last April 23, 2025.

March 14, 2025 – Romblon State University proudly announces the successful completion of its Stage 2 Certification Audit for the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS). The audit, which began on March 10 and concluded today, marked a significant milestone in the University's commitment to enhancing its educational management practices.

The audit was conducted by a team of experienced auditors who meticulously evaluated RSU’s compliance with international standards for educational organizations. Throughout the five-day process, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗼 from 𝘛𝘜𝘝 𝘙𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 together with 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗶 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗾 from 𝘛𝘜𝘝 𝘙𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘢 reviewed key documentation, observed operational processes, and engaged in comprehensive discussions with faculty and staff members.

University President 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣. 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘆-𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶, thru Dr. Emelyn F. Montoya, expressed immense pride in the achievement. “This certification is not just a recognition of our efforts; it represents our ongoing commitment to excellence in education. It reflects our dedication to continually improving our management systems to better serve our students and the community. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this success.”

ISO 21001:2018 is an international standard that provides a framework for educational organizations to enhance their management systems. This certification underscores RSU’s commitment to ensuring quality educational processes, promoting student satisfaction, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As part of the certification audit, the sampled sites namely: RSU Romblon, Cajidiocan, and San Fernando Campuses together with RSU-Main Campus showcased several initiatives aimed at promoting learner-centered education, including innovative teaching methodologies, stakeholder engagement strategies, and enhanced administrative processes. These efforts have positioned the University as a leader in educational excellence within the region.

The TUV Rheinland auditors, Ms. Mary Grace Balobalo and Dr. Abdul Manan Aruli, meticulously evaluated the university’s processes, systems, and documentation, starting at Site 1 - Main Campus (Feb 10), followed by Site 9 - San Fernando and Site 8 - Cajidiocan Campuses (Feb 11), and Site 7 - Romblon Campus (Feb 12).
