FORWARD WITH PURPOSE, LEADING FOR THE FUTURE. 🫡🇵🇭

The RSU ROTC Unit - Main Campus stands tall and proud as active participants in University Week 2026:PAGTANAW 2035!

Led by the University’s top officials, the parade brought together the RSU community in a shared celebration of the university’s 17 years of universityhood. The festivities continued at the RSU Quadrangle with the entrance of delegations and athletes, the ceremonial lighting of the Sports Fest Torch, and the declaration of the official opening of BIDA Sports Fest 2026 by Sports Director Alphee F. Lachica.

100700H OCTOBER 2026

Under the supervision of LTC DAVE A MARQUEZ (INF) PA - Director of 1705th (RBL) Community Defense Center, 17th Regional Community Defense Group, and under the guidance of Mr. Edgar Andalecio, RSU - Main Campus NSTP Director, MSg Dante E Olan (MS) PA, Tactical NCO and CAPT. Armando R Mapola (RET), ROTC Coordinator, and with the assistance of ROTC Advanced officers, Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs), the RSU ROTC UNIT - Main Campus successfully conducted its 11th ROTC Training Day.

The RSU ROTC UNIT - Main Campus conducted its 11th training day beginning with the formation and attendance checking at exactly 0700H.

At exactly 0730H, the cadets commence with the basic phasing activity on proper ex*****on, discipline, and familiarity with basic military movements. The phasing activity concluded at exactly 0900H.

At exactly 0930H, a lecture about Military Courtesy and Discipline was discussed by dedicated ROTC Advanced Officers CDT GERALD F MADRID 1CL and CDT ANTHONY GREGORIO 1CL, the discussion ended at exactly 1100H.

The 11th training day was formally concluded at 1200H with a closing formation, final instructions and announcements regarding upcoming activities.

1705th (Romblon) COMMUNITY DEFENSE CENTER
17TH REGIONAL COMMUNITY DEFENSE GROUP, RESCOM, PA SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS PAARCQE FOR ADVANCE ROTC CADETS AND CADET OFFICER QUALIFYING COURSE (COQC)

The 17th Regional Community Defense Group (17RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), facilitated the Philippine Army Advance ROTC Cadet Qualifying Examination (PAARCQE) at Romblon State University - Main Campus. The examination was administered to Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) MS 31 and MS 41 and Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC).

The examination evaluated the cadets' academic competence, military knowledge, and leadership potential for greater responsibilities within the Reserve Force. It also served as a crucial measure in identifying potential reserve officers who exemplify discipline, integrity, and commitment to service.

The successful conduct of the examination reflects RESCOM's continued efforts to strengthen leadership development and produce competent, service-oriented members of the Reserve Force.

At exactly 0930H, a lecture from RSU Gender and Development (GAD) was discussed by Ms. Carolyn D. Fetalver, the RSU GAD Director. The discussion ended at exactly 1100H.

The 10th training day was formally concluded at 1230H with a closing formation, final instructions and announcements regarding upcoming activities.

In observance of the National Clean-Up Month, pursuant to Proclamation No. 244,s. 1993, the Cadet Officers of the RSU ROTC UNIT - Main Campus conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive at Tabing, Odiongan, Romblon.

The activity brought together volunteers in a shared commitment to keeping our coastal communities clean and protecting the environment through collective action.

Through this initiative, the Cadet Officers demonstrated that the values developed through ROTC training extend beyond the training ground. Their participation reflects the spirit of bayanihan, discipline, volunteerism, and commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.
