𝗘𝗨-𝗚𝗢𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗖𝗟𝗦 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

Saint Columban Law School has successfully secured funding grant under the European Union – Governance in Justice (EU-GOJUST) Program through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) for its Clinical Legal Education Program.
Following a rigorous evaluation process involving more than sixty applicants nationwide, the SCLS-CLEP proposal, "𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 (𝗣𝗗𝗟𝘀) 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆," was selected as one of the grant recipients. The project aims to improve the access to justice of PDLs through legal aid, legal empowerment, and community-based legal services.

The successful grant is the result of the collaborative efforts of Saint Columban Law School, led by Dean Danny Valenzuela, CLEP Director Atty. Alyendy Mar Adlaon, Law Student Practitioners, SCLS Faculty, and the College Administration, whose commitment to clinical legal education and public service contributed to the development of a competitive and impactful proposal.

Through this grant, the CLEP of SCLS will further enhance the experience of law student practitioners through concrete practice experiences while providing necessary legal services to underprivileged communities, especially Persons Deprived of Liberty.

This grant reflects Saint Columban Law School's continuing commitment to advancing access to justice, strengthening legal education, and fostering social responsibility through quality clinical legal education.
