𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦-𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

Pursuant to Executive Memo No. 078, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the JHCSC President, the JHCSC community is advised to observe the following work and class arrangements in observance of the upcoming holidays and to support mental health and well-being:

• March 30–31, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday) – Work-From-Home (WFH)
All personnel are advised to work remotely on these days and ensure that assigned tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently while observing regular office standards. The WFH arrangement shall be implemented in accordance with Executive Memorandum No. 068, Series of 2026, except for personnel involved in the Finance Committee Meeting on March 30, 2026, who are advised to report on-site.

• March 30–April 1, 2026 (Monday to Wednesday) – Mental Health Break (Students)
Upon the formal request of the JHCSC Supreme Student Council (Resolution No. 09, Series of 2026), duly endorsed by the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, a Mental Health Break is declared for all students to allow time for rest, recuperation, and the promotion of overall well-being.

• April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) – Mental Health Break (Personnel)
Regular office operations and classes are suspended to encourage personnel to observe a mental health break for rest and personal well-being.

• April 2, 2026 (Thursday) – Maundy Thursday
Regular office operations and classes are suspended in observance of Maundy Thursday, which is declared a special non-working holiday under Proclamation No. 1006.

• April 3, 2026 (Friday) - Good Friday
Regular office operations and classes are suspended in observance of Good Friday, which is declared a special non-working holiday under Proclamation No. 1006.

All concerned are advised to be guided accordingly.

The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) proudly celebrates a significant research milestone as Dr. Starr Clyde Lumanta Sebial, Dean of the School of Teacher Education (STE), and his co-authors published a scholarly article in the Q1 Scopus-indexed journal Frontiers in Sociology (January 7, 2026). This achievement reflects JHCSC’s strong commitment to high-impact research and to advancing inclusive and equity-driven education in the Philippines.

The study, titled “Developing a Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (GEDI)-responsive curriculum framework for Philippine higher education: a qualitative case study of faculty perspectives,” examines how GEDI principles are understood and implemented within higher education curricula. While GEDI is widely recognized and often embedded in institutional policies, the research reveals that its integration in actual teaching and curriculum design frequently remains symbolic rather than transformative.
