𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝗪'𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐒: 𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑

In support of soon-to-be graduates entering the workforce, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) successfully conducted a seminar entitled "Equipping Tomorrow’s Professionals: Job Readiness Training Seminar." This activity was designed to prepare graduating students with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools essential for employment success.

The seminar covered three key areas:

𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝟏: Current Job Opportunities and Employer Expectations
Speaker: Mr. Raian Mark P. Valenzona
This session focused on understanding the evolving job market and what employers currently expect from applicants. Students gained insights into in-demand industries, emerging roles, and the attitudes and skills valued by employers.

𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝟐: Documentary Preparedness and Resume/Application Writing
Speaker: Dr. Jasper Paul A. Ycoy
Emphasis was placed on the importance of well-prepared documents and a strategically written resume. Students were guided on how to effectively present their qualifications and experiences to make a strong impression during the initial stages of the application process.

𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝟑: Job Interview Skills and Professional Etiquette
Speaker: Dr. Marck Anthony M. Suyom
This final discussion highlighted the significance of interview readiness, confidence, and professional behavior. Participants learned how to conduct themselves during interviews and within professional settings—skills critical to building a lasting impression.

This seminar serves as an essential platform in bridging the gap between education and employment. By providing real-world career preparation, PESO continues its mission to support the holistic development of future professionals and improve their employability and competitiveness in today’s job market.

In a shared commitment to shape a stronger future for our students and graduates, the 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗣𝗜𝗧) and the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟴 have officially signed a 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗠𝗢𝗨) — a significant milestone in strengthening employment opportunities and workforce readiness.

Palompon Institute of Technology was honored to welcome the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄) 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟖 for a courtesy visit at our campus in Palompon, Leyte.

The visit was 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝙈𝙧. 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙏. 𝙔𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙖, Senior Labor and Employment Officer / OIC-Head of the Western Leyte Field Office (WLFO), along with his dedicated team from 𝘿𝙊𝙇𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝙂𝙄𝙊𝙉 8.

This meaningful engagement marks a significant step in fortifying our partnership with DOLE, as we work hand in hand to develop and enhance future employment opportunities for our students and graduates.

The 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗢) of 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, headed by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗼, proudly joined the 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗟𝗠𝗜) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗢𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗰 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

This significant workshop highlights the importance of 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 in shaping responsive academic programs, enhancing employment services, and aligning workforce skills with the 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. Through this, we ensure that 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 and equipped with the opportunities they deserve.

𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒚 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔

The Public Employment Service Office of the Palompon Institute of Technology, headed by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐌. 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨, conducted a series of meaningful courtesy visits, starting with the LGU PESO Palompon, together with PESO Staff 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫, where discussions focused on strengthening employment programs and future partnerships.

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨 also had the privilege to visit the Office of the Municipal Vice Mayor, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐳𝐚𝐝𝐚, expressing gratitude for the continuous support in collaborative initiatives for the community.

Furthermore, a visit was conducted with the PESO Ormoc Satellite Office, headed by PESO Manager 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐍𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐌. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠, to explore potential areas of cooperation aimed at enhancing opportunities and services.

In addition, the Public Employment Service Office of the Palompon Institute of Technology facilitated the registration and updating of the designation of 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐌. 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨 with the Department of Labor and Employment – Region 8, under the office of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐣𝐚, ensuring alignment with official responsibilities.

These visits signify our commitment to building stronger partnerships and fostering collaborations that will benefit our community and workforce.
