[WHAT WE DO] “You have spent decades dedicating yourselves to your careers, building skills, serving others, and helping strengthen your organizations. And now, perhaps, it is time to invest that same energy in your own dreams, your health, and your loved ones.”

These words from Raquel J. Edjec, Director for Human Resource Management Division, were the closing message of Davao del Norte State College’s Pre-Retirement Seminar, which helped selected employees prepare for the transition from active government service to a new chapter in life. The whole-day seminar covered retirement policies and requirements, benefits and financial planning, and personal health and wellness.

College President Joy M. Sorrosa reminded participants that DNSC’s care for its employees extends beyond their years of active service, "We want you to be prepared and ready as you transition to another chapter. And we want everyone to really enjoy the next chapter while staying healthy, not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.”

DNSC extends its appreciation to the Civil Service Commission XI, GSIS, and the Local Government Unit of Tagum for sharing their expertise and supporting the College’s commitment to employee welfare.

Retirement may close the chapter on a career, but it opens new pages for purpose, passion, and pursuits.
