The University of Mindanao proudly makes its debut in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, emerging #1 in the Davao Region, #2 in Mindanao, #13 in the Philippines, and #447 in the world. In its first participation, UM has established a strong presence in one of the world’s leading assessments of university sustainability performance.

The 17th edition of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings features 2,016 institutions across 110 countries, providing a global platform for universities to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable campus development. This year’s theme, “Advancing Sustainable Campuses through Governance, Digitalization, and Integrated Performance,” highlights the growing importance of institutional systems and integrated approaches in advancing sustainability.

UM’s debut ranking reflects its continuing efforts to integrate environmental sustainability, responsible governance, resource management, education, research, and community engagement into university development. As sustainability becomes increasingly central to the future of higher education, UM continues to strengthen its role in cultivating a campus culture grounded in responsible and sustainable practices.

Hapit na ang pinakahulatang panahon sa tuig! Samtang nagkaduol ang Pasko, atong ihatag ang atong tibuok kasing-kasing sa pag-eskwela—magpursigi, magmatinud-anon sa atong mga responsibilidad, ug padayon nga maningkamot aron maabot ang atong mga pangandoy.

Kay ang kalipay sa holiday season dili lamang makita sa mga regalo ug selebrasyon, kun dili usab sa resulta sa atong mga paningkamot ug kalampusan. Busa, padayon lang, 'Ga! Gamita ang matag adlaw aron mahimong mas maayo, mas kugihan, ug mas determinado.

The 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 for School Year 2025–2026 was successfully concluded last week under the leadership of our Branch Director, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐋. 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐝, in collaboration with all unit heads and program heads. The review provided an avenue to comprehensively assess the institution’s accomplishments and overall performance throughout the year, identify areas for improvement, and formulate concrete action plans to address gaps and existing discrepancies.

With the invaluable guidance and support of the Quality Management Council, represented by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐕. 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐁. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧, Director for Academic Assessment, the team remains committed to translating identified opportunities into timely and effective solutions. Through collaborative efforts, continuous evaluation, and purposeful action, UM Panabo College continues to strengthen its culture of quality, excellence, and continuous improvement.

We invite you to join us for “Together for Hope: You Matter, We Care” Ribbon Distribution this Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, in observance of Su***de Prevention Day, in collaboration with DSG–Department of Arts and Sciences (DASE).

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 720,000 people die by su***de each year. It is the third leading cause of death among young people ages 15 to 29, and more than half of all global su***des occur before age 50.

This September, may this ribbon remind us that life is worth living. Even in the midst of chaos, there is always something to look forward to.
