Not every wound is visible. Not every battle is loud. Some struggles exist quietly behind smiles, busy days, and “I’m okay.”
Self-harm is often misunderstood. Behind it are people carrying emotions that feel too heavy to hold alone — pain, pressure, silence, and the feeling of not being heard. Awareness begins when we choose 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐦𝐚.
As a Psychology community, we believe that knowledge creates understanding, and understanding creates compassion. 🧠✨ A simple conversation, a kind message, or a listening ear can remind someone that they are not facing their struggles alone.
This month, let’s create a space where people feel 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝.
Because healing begins where compassion exists. 🌱
