Please be informed that NU East Ortigas will be implementing an adjusted class schedule in accordance with the advisory issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on the adoption of flexible learning modalities during the National Energy Emergency (MOC No. 117, s. 2026).

In line with this directive, the University will adopt a blended learning setup wherein classes will be delivered through a combination of onsite instruction and remote synchronous sessions.

Students are strongly encouraged to stay updated through official communication channels for specific schedules, course arrangements, and further guidelines issued by their respective academic units. For any concerns, inquiries, or clarifications, you may coordinate directly with your Principals, Program Chairs, and Faculty members via MS Teams.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬

In line with the ongoing high heat index, the wearing of 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗦 is now officially allowed as an alternative to prescribed uniforms. This has been approved by the SDO to help students stay comfortable amid rising temperatures.

Students are reminded that this adjustment does not replace existing dress code policies. Proper attire must still be observed, and official school IDs must be worn at all times within the campus.

Please remain mindful of your well-being—stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to heat, and take necessary precautions.

Pursuant to the rising heat index from 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟯–𝟭𝟳, students are permitted to wear 𝗡𝗨 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘀. Wearing of civilian attire is strictly allowed only on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

All existing dress code policies remain in effect, and the official school ID must be worn at all times.

As indicated in the request letter, should the high temperature persist, a subsequent letter shall be issued for the following weeks.
