In collaboration with the Supreme Student Council, the College of Education Student Association has initiated an outreach program entitled the "Eduk-Aksyon Outreach Program," carrying the theme, "One Book Shared, One Step Ahead, Eduk-Aksyon: Where Hope is Spread," to be carried out on June 03, 2026, at Lower Darayan Elementary School, Patikul, Sulu. This program aims to show support to institutions in remote areas by reaching out and providing essential school supplies needed by both pupils and teachers.
This initiative is supported by the constituent organizations under the College of Education Student Association, encompassing the General Science Club, English Club, Mathematics Club, General Education Club, Future Elementary Teachers Organization, and, finally, the Gazette Publications.
Ultimately, this program aligns with Sustainable Development Goals No. 4, Quality Educationโensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all; No. 10, Reduced Inequalitiesโreducing inequality within and among countries; and No. 17, Partnerships for the Goalsโstrengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
In essence, this initiative promotes equal access to quality education in marginalized communities by providing essential learning materials and learning support. Through this, it encourages both pupils and teachers to strengthen their desire for educational growth and development. Moreover, it also advocates for support and collaboration, inspiring others to contribute toward achieving the same goal. This significantly mirrors the theme, "One Book Shared, One Step Ahead, Eduk-Aksyon: Where Hope is Spread," as it underscores how a single book shared can strongly contribute to an individual's growth and bring joy and hope, paving the way for opportunities in their future.
