July 27, 2026 | The College of Pharmacy of the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP) successfully conducted its annual Orientation Program, warmly welcoming new and returning pharmacy students as the Academic Year 2026–2027 officially began.
The program started with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the MCNP Hymn.
Program Coordinator 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐏. 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨, 𝐑𝐏𝐡, delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the students with the inspiring message, “𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆.” She also introduced the College of Pharmacy's mission, vision, and academic policies, reminding students of the college's commitment to excellence, integrity, and academic success.
The faculty members then gave informative presentations. 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐚 𝐏. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐳, 𝐑𝐏𝐡, discussed the college's research and community extension programs, encouraging students to take part in research and community service. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐏𝐀 discussed the Code of Student Conduct, reminding students about discipline, professionalism, and responsible behaviour.
Meanwhile, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨, 𝐑𝐏𝐡, explained the laboratory rules and regulations to help students maintain a safe and organised learning environment.
The program also featured the presentation of the newly elected officers of the Guild of Pharmacy Students led by the current Chairman 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧., followed by their formal induction, marking the start of their journey as student leaders.
More than just an orientation, the event showed the College of Pharmacy's commitment to preparing competent, compassionate, and globally competitive future pharmacists while promoting excellence, professionalism, leadership, service, and unity.
