ORGANIC PEST AND DISEASE MANAGEMENT QUIZ BEE
November 28, 2025
9:00 a.m. at Agro Soil Building Lecture Hall 1
MECHANICS:
1. The quiz bee is open to all 2nd year and 3rd year students of CBSUA โ who enrolled in Crop Protection course. The quiz bee shall be participated by 1 team per section and each team must have 4 participants.
2. The participants should be at the venue of competition 15 minutes before the scheduled time. The late contestants are still allowed to participate however they will be deprived to answer the question(s) missed. But after the first 5 questions have lapsed, late contestants will be disqualified.
3. During the quiz bee the participants must bring following materials:
โข Board (Illustration Board or White Board)
โข Writing materials (Chalk or marker)
โข Eraser
4. The questions will be from a Crop Protection hand book.
5. The type of questions will be in form of multiple choice and there will be three (3) rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult. There will be fifteen (15) questions for the easy round, ten (10) questions for the average, and five (5) questions for the difficult round.
6. The quiz master shall read each question twice (2), after the second (2nd) reading, the quiz master shall say the word โGOโ. Only then the contestant shall begin writing their answers on the board. The time allotment is 15 seconds for each question in easy round, 20 seconds in average round and 30 seconds for difficult round.
7. After the time limit the contestants will automatically stop writing. The contestants should raise their answer and the correct answer will be stated by the quiz masters. Any form of cheating or communication with other participants will result in disqualification.
8. Each level will have their corresponding points. The team who will gain the highest score at the end of final round will be declared as the winner.
